I think this might be the first, if not the second or third at most, month that no supported game was selected in the drawing.

I'm obviously looking forward to Rainbow Billy, but with Nobody on Game Pass and made by the fantastic Drinkbox Studios (Guacamelees, Severed), I will certainly be giving that a whirl.

Oh, yeah I didn't expect either nomination to get chosen, but am excited for Nobody Saves the World! Have heard nothing but good things, and was planning on starting it with my cousin regardless.

I've never heard of Rainbow Billy, but it looks neat. I may end up giving it a try.

Was already planning to get Pokemon Arceus Legends this weekend, so of course I'll be playing that here.

I actually think Nobody Saves the World looks quite fun but I don't have gamepass so I probably won't be playing it.

I'm determined to finish DOOM II today... I am on map 24.

I will say, I've been extremely tempted to turn down the difficulty from Hurt me plenty... Not even because it's been too hard, but so that way I'm not as frustrated and have an easier time going through the mazes each map turns out to be.

I'm on stage 24 too, although I intend to do just a couple more levels today and then finish over the weekend.

Don't think I'll have time for Batman this month. Gonna be playing Pokmon next month though for sure.

Beat Doom 2

Is there some kind of bonus for it being your Birthday still? Mine is coming up in February.

Suggestion: Pity nominations. Maybe you can keep track of how many times a game gets nominated, and if it doesn't get nominated after enough time, it gets thrown in as a bonus game.

I've had substantial online issues the past several days, so I haven't been playing Hitman 2. I was waiting to make more progress to provide an update, especially since I am still in levels that I have done in the past, but it seems unlikely that I will beat it in time. I still am going to do what I can and wrap it up in February.

Also that birthday thing was a special annual theme. I could potentially bring it back in a future year.

I could do the pity selection theme for this year since I am currently operating without one. I could go through years of archives, but it could be that the user(s) who nominated in the past aren't interested in (re)playing it. It might be better for users to put forth 1-3 games that they know/feel have been nominated 2+ times, and I can take them at their word and put them in a pool.

Picking up Batman mid-episode 2 from three and a half years ago. 38 hours, I got this. -_- (fwiw I played the original Life is Strange from start to finish in about that timeframe so it's definitely doable)

Anyway amazingly I actually remember most of what's going on. Lucius is dead, his daughter is pissed at me. I'm working with some new female agent that I kinda have a tremulous but mostly positive relationship with. Some new lady has usurped James Gordon and she knows Bruce is Batman. I had a showdown with the Riddler in episode 1 but I think he died. And the Joker is trying to get me on his side.

I've made it partway through episode 4 of Batman so I might really do this tomorrow haha

Abacus has beaten DOOM II

Episode 4 done. That one seemed very short.

Finished Doom 2 on sunday.

overall, my thoughts are about the same. glad to have beaten it finally, but the level design suffers a lot in places compared to the first game (the last level in particular is bad). would probably been better if it added/changed more, or trimmed things down and polished what was left.
