So Jordan is #1, Kareem is #2, and Magic is #3.

So basically you're asking is there a bigger gap between Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabber or a bigger gap between Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson.

#2 and #3

One can make the argument for Kareem > Jordan.

No one can argue that Magic/Lebron > Kareem.

So 2 and 3.

This all comes with the disclosure of in my opinion

I have 1-3 as MJ, LeBron, Kareem. The difference between any of them is really tiny. Theyre pretty close to being interchangeable.

The gap from 3 to 4 (Magic) is bigger than it is from 1 to 3.

Jordan's prime was in the 80s where he won zero championships, while Kareem's prime was like 10 years long. Overall I think Jordan is better than Kareem but you can easily convince me that Kareem is the GOAT.

Uh, no, Michael Jordan is the greatest Basketball player of all time - it's not "a tiny" difference. He is the GOAT.

Kareem was great for 20 years, but Michael is the GOAT.

no, jordan himself has stated iirc that he was best in '91. And some stats back that up

Most of your argument against me is that MJ is the GOAT. And I also said hes the GOAT.

Gap between Jordan and Lebron remains the same, but it was always a very large gap.

All you gotta do is watch Jordan in the 80s vs 90s to see he lost a step and athleticism in the 90s. His prime was in the 80s, though even after his prime he was still the greatest player in history.

I don't know if I agree with that. Problem is the game changes over time and just dropping Jordan into a 2022 game isn't going to guarantee that he'll have 90s performance.

Like, Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 fucking points. Nobody even comes close, not even Jordan. But that doesn't mean Wilt is better than Jordan.

I really wish that game was taped, it sounds like such a damn farce. Philly was fouling the Knicks intentionally during the last 4 minutes to get the ball back and get the ball to Wilt.
