Wasnt it Swedish? Prefer the original to the American version since it felt more creepy . Lets see how it works turned into a series

Can't say I remember literally anything about it.

I think the vamp kid had blonde hair and it had some artistic imagery involving snow.

The vamp kid was a brunette, their newest familiar was blonde, and there was a very chilling scene involving bullies in a pool.

can't say how I feel about this, but it doesn't really feel in line with the original (or remake).

iirc, there was nothing about trying to find a cure; it was just about a lonely boy and lonely vampire who built a bond with each other.

of course there were other things going on - bullying, murders, unhealthy relationships, etc., but I'll try not to knock it for adding new elements until seeing it for myself.

I remember liking the book. I haven't actually seen either of the movies, but a full series could be cool.

I remember 2008 everyone was talking about this movie online but I never saw it to this day. Or even the 2010 American remake

The American version had Chloe moretz IIRC. The original was also great. That pool scene

It might be to add the book aspects that change Eli's character completely.

I guess it would fit in with the current LGBT culture, though that's probably looking too much into it. I loved that aspect of the book and didn't really expect it at all.

It kind of starts out as one in the book, but then the main vampire's secret gets revealed and... well... It'll be interesting if this remake actually tackles that unlike the other movies xD

More like not obvious at all. If you're not familiar with the book, then that dialogue is almost entirely metaphorical rather than literal, even moreso if the individual's exposed to even a small amount of fiction in their life.

you also see the kid peeking as Eli changes, and seeing the castration scar

that plus the "I'm not a girl" line are enough hints, IMO, but not everyone might be able to understand what the scar represents.
