I've heard testimonies about serial killers and other kinds of criminals receiving love letters from women around the world. The best explanation I heard for this is what's called the Messiah complex. Basically, the woman fantasizes about being able to rehabilitate the criminal and bring him back to a 'civilized' state. I don't really accept the explanation but I can see it making some sense when you think about it --- I hate the idea that someone, somewhere, might be having a good time, and not even have the slightest clue about my elite gamer genes. ... People never really said that as far as I recall. He was never really the "charming" serial killer, as opposed to someone like Ted Bundy. He was more just the creepy weirdo.
