Poor Terra Diver... I was most interested in the tracks in the top four spots being in matches. Since none of them got a chance, I might nominate this game again for BOST7 (with a different #5 and #6, of course)!

By my count Soul Sanctum lost by 2, which means my noms are 0-5 :/ My only hope for a win is SA2 in snubs, which... lol. :(

Well, I got my wish that one of my noms would face something super weak, but this blowout was beyond anything I expected for a track from Gates to Infinity.... (but DGBR is actually pretty awesome!)

Be honest, if I or any other regular voter came in and asked to vote after results were posted, in a manner that would cause or break a tie (while attesting that the songs were listened to and not voting was by accident), would you accept that vote? If so, then this is fine.

It's a bit dubious. I'll trust you know the circumstances well enough to make that call, but it's certainly not good optics.

Did it actually change the result of any match? (I can't tell what the first vote is for and don't know the scores of the other 2 matches)

If all the results are the same then I think it's pretty much fine. If they aren't, I don't know if I have the information to make that determination.

Just because you acknowledge it's host's privilege doesn't change the fact that host's privilege shouldn't be a thing. If you're going to participate in your own contest you should hold yourself to the same rules you hold everyone else.

I am. The rules I'm holding that the host can vote late, given that they are the host and that they can be 100% certain of what happened, and that non-hosts can't. Completely consistent. Find a different argument.

VOTING RULES

- Each match will be between the songs representing each game, not the game as a whole. Please remember to listen and vote with this in mind! Any votes referring to a game name rather than a song name will not be counted.
- Listen to both songs!! If one is your literal favorite song in the world and the other is something you hate with a passion, listen to them both!!
- No alts, no rallying, no begging for something to get more votes, etc., etc., you know the drill.
- If you change your mind and would like to swap your vote, you may do so. As soon as it is 24 hours since the match topic was started, you may not change your vote and new votes will not be counted.

Umm, no, the rules do not say that. Thats a rule you made up just now because you didnt expect this would happen to you. Please dont make up rules mid-contest to benefit yourself specifically.

So Im being outright told screw you, I make the rules around here which is really not something I was hoping to to hear in a small community contest like this one. Youve shown now that you cant be trusted to handle disputed results like this, because you will distort the rules into whatever bizarre shape you like in order to favor the game you want to win. I dont see the point in continuing to participate if the contest is going to keep being run in such a childish manner like this.

bruh, my literal favorite soundtrack of all time lost by one. if i cared to rig the contest i would've then. i didn't vote because i hadn't prepared to vote. here, I not only wrote down the votes, but used google translate to make sure my vote even made sense. I'm the host. I count the votes. In the only regard that matters, the vote was made, unless you want to argue that if somebody tells me a vote ahead of time that doesn't get posted to the topic, it doesn't count

It's probably best to just trust NFUN on this one. PSO2 losing by one vote as a result of NFUN not voting should be proof enough that what he's saying is legitimate.

Im not accusing NFUN of making up the story, Im taking issue with him changing the rules after the match ends to afford himself a privilege he wont afford to others.

Im invoking HBs privilege to invalidate all nfun votes for the rest of time

If youre really not going to budge on this, please at least clarify the favorable treatment youve entitled yourself in the actual voting rules so that your interpretation is no longer insane.

i'll agree with the move on the basis that i can totally change the rules for my OST of 2022 contest that will follow this one to give myself 2 votes all the time and nobody can stop me :)

also it doesn't particularly matter because i'm definitely not voting for rivals in a tiebreaker lol

incidentally i've had my votes for today's match filled out in another tab since about 17 hours ago but i didn't post them yet

It's been done in previous contests, where someone PMs votes to the host ahead of time and the host forgets to post them. Those votes still count anyway, because the host says they do, even though that's not in the rules.

The difference there is that the votes are cast before the match starts, not after it ends.

Wonderful to see Rouge get a much deserved win for SA2. BOST is good again! (No offence to the PLA nominator I'm just thrilled to not have my noms go winless through the whole contest)
