Why do people expect that other people will have battle ready teams for raids at this point?
Game came out only 3 weeks ago. Some people only have time to play on weekends. My starter is not even level 100 yet and it's pretty much the only Pokemon I used for the whole game
So uh...chill?

I would want to say that a month from now it would be better but a lot of people will get the games for Christmas so probably not

Theyre probably complaining about the highest star raids which Im gonna imagine you dont see unless youre far in the game to begin?

yeah, below 5* it's easy to carry but 5* up if you don't have sutiable pokemon all you're doing is immediately dying, causing the timer to drop off so your group is destined to fail and waste their time

and yeah like mnk said a lot of people really don't understand the typings so they're getting super effective'd and yeah dying

Finally getting around to starting, but my tradition is to restart for all three and trade the first two to someone to hold until I get to my real file. Anyone around who could do that for me? I've reached the first trade spot for the first round already.

One time my 3 allies all brought Koraidon against Sylveon who was more than happy to introduce them to the floor. But, that's actually not that bad since I knew I would lose and we lost quickly. Having one terrible ally sucks since it drags out the loss as long as possible and we lose just before winning. Although, sometimes things go well and we can win anyways.

My Charizard raid experience was actually pretty good with few losses. My allies almost always brought something that looked competent for the raid and often seemed to bring specialized stuff. I find I tended to win these raids more often than random 5 star raids.

I made exactly one Quaxly egg to trade for a Sprigatito online and it came out shiny

It was Masuda'd to be fair

had a nice 12-win streak in zard raids until someone brought a level 50 mon and wiped the timer

my Grimmsnarl was awesome there - actually hatched a shiny on my very first egg, too

Just had this. Someone bringing Chomp into a poison Gardevoir raid.

He did some damage with EQ, but got wiped out by Moonblast every time and cost us the fight. It's really bad.

You know, I really feel like Gamefreak shat the bed with this penalty
In SWSH having shitty teammates was bad, yes, but if they sucked then they at least didn't contribute as much
But here? they ruin the fight

Yeah. Garganacl raids, two people bringing Charizard and Armoredge. Idiotic.

It wouldn't be so bad if everything didn't take a million years to do. I swear doing and completing one raid takes 30 minutes when it should take a couple. There's so much WAITING when it comes to these games.

This is easily my biggest issue in general. The worst example is the boxes having to load even if you just switched away for a second.

So I'm still really early in the game, like just beat the first gym. I did raids yesterday but they didn't respawn today. Anyone run into this issue and know if I need to do something to fix it?

I get actually mad when my menuing during a raid gets interrupted for the fifth time before I can select my attack

I think Red ran into the issue once. If you go into your switch settings and put the day forward a day and back again it should fix it. Oh, and restart the game as well!

finally got to teach my sister how to make a Fuecoco egg to trade to me so i can complete my dex for shiny charmmm

Got another Shiny Vee early in my second batch.

I just noticed that the latest patch seems to make the camera a little better. There used to be a problem where if the player was indoors (like inside their house) and walked downward toward the camera, the character could walk off screen. But, the camera properly follows the character now.

Yeah I went back to the house (figured I never talked with Mom since starting the game...) and tried to replicate that camera bug (which I encountered 5 minutes after starting the game) and couldn't
So maybe this one was really fixed

Just like the first batch this one got an early shiny and then nothing else. And like the last batch I found two shinies while hatching(Drifloon, Murkrow). Found the Murkrow with the very last set of Eevee eggs in my party.

A new battle mechanic for Terastalization was discovered, moves of the Tera type that are less than 60BP (after Technician has already been applied) will become 60BP

Priority, multihit, and variable power (like Grass Knot, Water Spout, etc) do not get the boost

so mainly useful for stuff like Nuzzle, Mud Slap, etc

Just realized the "shiny Pokemon battled" number only tracks each shiny Pokemon once. So it kinda works as a Shiny Dex indicator, as long as you don't accidentally KO one. Sorry completionists, now you gotta get that up to 400 to really 100% the game.

Also shiny Glimmet caught, just as I was about to give up on the outbreak for the night. Woo.

I also wonder if hatching a shiny Charmander would raise the count. They're not in the dex, but the shiny count isn't part of the dex either, so I could see it going either way.

There's 4 and 5* Tyranitar and Salamence raids going on for the weekend. They didn't swap the exclusives, so you still have to have NSO to try to get the opposite one. Nothing fancy for rewards.

So with the way it counts it, does switching Deerling/Sawsbuck forms count as a new one or do you have to find all four in the wild or hatched to have them count?

Well I went to change my Sawsbuck to Winter, before my Shinies Battled was 26, after changing it remained 26

Then I checked the Pokedex to see if I have them all.... apparently i had all Deerling registered to my Pokedex shiny and not, but Sawsbuck I was still missing Spring forms so I went to change again in South Paldea.

Pokedex updated with the Spring Sawsbucks shiny and not, but Shinies Battled counter still remains 26.

So the way the suggested raids work, is it's not necessarily showing you a currently available raid. When you select one, it just searches to see if there's a matching raid being hosted somewhere (species, level, Tera type), and slots you in if it finds one. What this means is you can just sit there doing the search over and over and it will eventually get you one.

After reading about this, I refreshed until I found a Scarlet exclusive that I didn't have yet, and then sat there selecting it like 10-15+ times until it finally worked (I just had my Switch next to me while I was using the computer, tapping A every couple minutes). In this case, it was a 3* Oranguru, so I can see that not being a popular raid for people to host, but other things would hopefully take less attempts.

the hard part about this game is having me decide to actually buckle down and do stuff because i refuse to do it in order, on principle of "well i can just go over there"

<_<; i kinda got to areas that are way way beyond me a couple times and the badges became necessary just to control the higher level pokemon a few times even. couldn't even think of using a level 75 lucario when i'm on my 4th badge.

not quite the same thing but I skipped almost all overworld trainers, but now that I know some of the TMs are only unlocked from the rewards those guys give at Pokmon centers I have to go chase a bunch of them down, but it feels tedious even though I can just OHKO most of them

most trainers only have like 1 pokemon anyhow

Shiny Altaria used Cotton Guard twice against my False Swipe Ceruledge, then Perish Song. Managed to catch it with a Repeat Ball on the final turn of the song.
