It feels like this was coming for a while, but then it also feels like the way it was done was EXTREMELY sudden. Sadly whatever happened must have been behind-the-scenes and we're never going to know the full truth from both sides.

I'm not gonna lie and do the weird thing where after someone is gone I pretend that I wish I had the chance to get super into them. Never watched Yugo streams or content very much, so this doesn't affect me all that much. Mostly I'm just curious to know what the heck warranted such a scorched earth style termination.

Yugo was a complete disaster for the first few months or so. A talented individual but didn't come from a streaming background, didn't seem to have much experience playing video games and had a very big language barrier. There were some collabs like the Luxiem vs Noctyx Valo collab and the collab with the shit pogo game where he was very upset in both coz he couldn't keep up with the conversation and was obviously way worse at the game that everyone else in the lobby. Made the collabs very awkward. Fulgur and Alban had to baby him quite a lot, and i always got the impression Uki didn't have much patience with him.

Personally i thought he turned it around tho and was probs the most creative and unique streamer in the branch by the end. The soundboard prank calls, the mixing and sampling streams, the graphic design streams, the acoustic karaoke, the tour of tokyo stream, he stopped trying to be a variety streamer and was was playing to his strengths and it resulted in much better content. Also was growing a lot closer to the JP branch ever since the summer pool party stuff, and had stopped letting their insecurities negatively effect EN collabs.

Moona's probably the closest thing I have to an oshi and Yugo reminded me a lot of Moona in her early months in that there was clearly a very talented individual who could be one of their biggest deals in their branch, they just needed time to grow.

So quite annoyed with this, while not all of his streams were for me he was doing a good job carving out a niche for himself and i don't think anyone will be able to replicate his type of content. There must be some behind the scenes stuff he was doing that resulted in something like this, would feel a lot worse about NijiEn if he was binned because his content was different to what you'd expect a corporate streamer to be.

the trans side of my vtuber circles is all pretty worked up but I am just now hearing of him

Are there any nijisanji livers who have graduated but didn't have their channel wiped?

I thought Melissa Kinrenko was a "normal" graduation with a farewell stream and everything bit their channel empty too =/

But her past and the April Fools thing already had me on the fence about her, and it seems like she's picking up steam to get worse. I've seen this movie before, albeit usually with trans people instead of Black ones. Done supporting her. Sucks.

Camp Shion for the cover songs is a really comfy place to be in.
Shion isn't much of a collab machine the way Koyori or the OKFAMS clique is though so I watch far less of her regular content.

But it's been hard keeping track of all the cliques this year with so many having to take mental health breaks or other type of breaks.

I've never really been into her streams that much, but she had my cautious support with her last cancel culture track at the top of the year even though it still had iffy buzzwords then. I could get where she was coming from then even if it felt misplaced, but still it wasn't like full blown "get woke or get gone!" shit like this foray

but truthfully even then she was revelling in the hate rather than focusing on her growth so I'm not surprised she just dug further

I got 1 calli merch tho, an omocat t-shirt that to be fair looked awesome but geez it's cringe now

this time it's also really hard to have sympathy because she says herself in her community comments that the song is intentionally meant to trigger people to "prove [herself] right" so uh congrats on getting the reaction you wanted? that people will treat you how you behave isn't the gotcha she somehow thinks it is though
