Because their uterus just wanders around and makes them all crazy?

It is kinda funny/sad that the word "hysteria" is rooted in the notion that women are just naturally nuts and unstable due to their lady-parts

I'll give you the abortion thing because that's stupid that a basic human right was abolished.

But the larger workload thing? It's proven that women generally don't want to be with a man who doesn't make as much or more than her. It's kind of hard to have it both ways. Do you want me to stay at home and take care of the kids and do all the cleaning and cooking? Or do you want me to make more money than my partner?

I'm great at cooking and cleaning and always wanted a son but my single status would indicate that's not what women want.
No we want adults that work and do their share of the load at home like grown ups. We dont want an additional kid. Often women are the ones making more money and still taking on a larger load at home.

My husband and I both work and I make more. For a long while I was still doing the majority of chores at home. Thankfully weve come a long way from that after marriage counseling. Its a lot better now.

Because, guys don't see most of those chores as worth doing, or even perceive the chore as existing.

This 100%. Guys, don't ever say you are helping out regarding standard household or parenting duties.

Seriously, we need to not use these words. We need to say men "not taking responsibility" or "not being a partner".

Not picking on you. I have been guilty of saying "helping out" too because it is so engrained.

I get it. But men do have a history of saying they are "helping out" their wife as soon as they cook or clean something. And certainly, children say it as well in regard to their parents, but they are kids and that's the point. The husband/bf shouldn't be using wording similar to children.

How convenient for them. Most likely because they had a mom or sisters doing it all for them growing up. My sister and I did all the chores at home while my brother was never expected to do anything. Guess what kind of husband he is now?

Yes its not helping and this comes from both women and men. When we had our daughter it was amazing the number of women that were praising my husband for being a good dad and helping me with our daughter. He would get upset and correct them.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

Yes weve come a long way. I used to do almost everything. Dishes, laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, while working a full time job and earning more. It caused me to go on strike and the house turned to filth and of course he wasnt happy with that. Marriage counseling helped us see each others perspectives and communicate better.

Not really. 24/7 access to negative news and partisan hostility can certainly cause brain rot and anger.
Probably the single biggest reason. A lot of the things people get riled up about is just horseshit nonsense whipped up by media specifically to rile them up. Most people are not affected by it but they get angry nonetheless. You never know what weird thing people will be mad at tomorrow, it's pretty fun to watch lol

Probably not a good idea, mods can still mod people for DM'd messages. They're still very much reportable

This is a lot of it tbh, women are very anal about cleanliness, guys tend to have a much higher threshold for what a "mess" actually is. Basically, women are gonna tend to see it as a problem first, take care of it, get mad the man didn't see to it first, rinse, repeat

Its not just guys that perpetuate that though. The amount of women that beam at men helping out or babysitting when theyre actually parenting their own child is crazy.

Women are under pressure in current times. They have the triple shift problem comprising of professional work, domestic labour and also taking care of her familys mental well being. On top of that, their abortion rights have been snatched from them which I may say is suppressing their health and safety measures. Rape is still prevalent and the victim usually suffers more (sexually assaulted and then also humiliated/condemned by family and neighbors). Then there is competition with other women and so on.

As a new man, I actually enjoy doing domestic labour stuff, helping my mom out in many things like cleaning dishes, bringing ingredients for food, cleaning clothes, cooking etc. Maybe its just me, but I dont feel stopped by my gender when it comes to domestic labour.

The problem here is that youre seeing everything as an argument.

I didnt post women do it too.

I posted the amount of women doing it too is crazy, as in, this is a widespread problem.

However, you seem very keen to think that Im your enemy so Im sure youll find a way to turn my post into some kind of act of aggression.

I think that there are a lot of reasons, the first being the fact that government lawmakers are actually trying to attack their rights. It starts with abortion and before you know, theyve banned women from working and voting.

Then theres the whole deal about providing and dealing with kids and stuff. It seems like most households are now dual-income homes and this puts a strain on things. Nobody seems to be paying fairly these days, despite the fact that the prices of everything are going up by the minute.

One other issue that Ill point out is that women are often the ones who do the shopping. Shopping is something that, over the past few years, has become a task that I dread. The stores seem to be crowded at any time and the workers cant keep the shelves stocked fast enough for the customers. Sometimes I have to go to three stores just to get everything on a small list. Then we have the price. Nobody wants to be the one who says, we arent eating these things anymore because theyre too expensive.
