Me after episode 7: holy shit this finale is gonna ruuuuuule Honestly let me say, one thing I was worried about this season is them possibly killing off Din Djarin. I mean surely they wouldn't but when the show's called "The Mandalorian" and so many others are being introduced, could it happen? Season 4 with Bo Kattan and Grogu? Though that was more "meta" thought commentary on my part since Pedro Pascal is in The Last Of Us and doing more movies nowadays, I thought he might ask to be written off the show. And yet since he never shows his face, his role could always just be reduced to voice-overs and get someone else to wear the outfit... probably useless speculation but I'll feel better after seeing him survive next week tbh. Everytime you think this show will do something interesting or fresh, it dials it back as quickly as it can. There's no development on any of these characters at all. The show has a moment of epic "Let's reunite the Mandalorian clans!!!" and it boils down to two 1v1 fights. DD gets captured at the end of last episode and basically frees himself with a little help from Grogu who was able to be perfectly sneaky and surprise the troopers. So the whole capture plot was just basic "I need to separate DD from the other Mandos for a bit". Grimlyn 04/19/23 9:15:55 PM #88:	I hope we're done with Gideon, like yeah I get it he's Giancarlo Esposito but I was satisfied with his season 2 capture (well duh s2 ended with one of the most exciting moments in modern Star Wars) and was hoping to move on this season. Obviously early in expecting some Mandalorian conflict that didn't happen. This ending for him is like... oh is this the time now then? Did he really die or is some clone gonna come up or something? Did they just leave?~~ Apparently. I guess with GIdeon MIA presumed dead, the base destroyed, and no new orders they just went back to wherever those reinforcements were sent from. Those were the ones requested in the previous episode so they weren't loyal to Gideon or his mission and probably didn't really care about the Mandalorians/Mandalore. The only place where I've heard season 3 discussed is this topic.
