By that point it's possible to have a pension and possibly be vested in another retirement system so yes 50k + social security just sitting at the house? I'd take that deal anyday

My mom took SS early, but only because my dad is 3 years older and she didn't want to keep working for 3 more years while my dad sat around at home

Unless you really need the money: No way, better to get 30% more at 70. I know I'll still be working at 62, hopefully making more than I do now, so it would not help me at all.
