I suck at fighting games and have the reflexes of week old roadkill >~>; I still enjoy playing fighting games and I'd be tempted to grab SF6 if I had the funds to do so lol

I'm leaning towards buying it now

It's fun. Plenty of PvE content. Modern controls are an amazing tool for casual players to actually have fun online without being overpowered or anything from what I've seen so far. I would say to give it a shot if you're curious.

Honestly the modern controls will help you big time.

If you do take the plunge then just do the tutorials a few times until you completely understand all the mechanics and then just keep playing - you will get better. Guaranteed.

These are never great when they first release.

I disagree, but I can understand why others might not like it. The side missions actually teach some basic fundamentals and it's dumb fun with SF lore (as well as random Capcom nods) thrown in.

On topic, I'd say no. The single player content is solid, but not nearly enough to justice 60 bucks.

It's pretty much the most accessible fighting game out there right now for newcomers and those that aren't very good.

I mean you'll still get whupped by the sweatlords that spend days practicing but everyone does.

Me too. . I have zero history with fighting games and world tour seems like a good place for a visitor like me to see what all the fuss is about.

It's basically a mini rpg with fighting game combat for the encounters. It's pretty fun. The tutorials in the game are pretty solid too. I don't think I could recommend another fighter more for someone to hop in to the genre at this point

I'd even go as far as saying they're damn good. They go over a lot of basics that most beginners might not know as well as teaching them how to play the game at a basic level.

There are even character specific guides that give tips on how to play each character.

Its cool the way things work out by chance sometimes.

My jumping into Yakuza: Like a Dragon and falling in love with it has conditioned me to see the appeal of the unique Yakuza aesthetic, which this game, at least with world tour mode, shares. Its obvious to me thats why Im so intrigued by it.

I heard the Battle Hub is toxic as fuck. I gotta see that shit! Nothing makes my dick harder than beating someone in a fighting game and then getting PMs from them calling me a f-word or telling me to kill myself cuz they're fucking mom or something lol. I let the hate flow through my balls

There's plenty of in game tutorials and the world tour mode is designed to teach you how to play

I'd probably stick to Ryu, though Lily looks fun.

I'll play Chun Li if I want to see those legs spinning around and need a pick me up to keep going in online >_>

Marisa is crazy beginner friendly, mostly because she's basically built to punish people that spam the games gimmick which you'll run in to a lot at low ranks(the "drive" system.)

Is 6 really that good?

Loved 2, Alpha 3 is my fav, like 3 but it is really complicated, 4 was great, heard 5 was awful.

I'm a casual player, and bought it yesterday. I'm still firmly into TotK right now, but SF6 is really good from what I've played. There's enough content and accessibility for beginners to make it fun outside of the fierce competitive aspect of fighting games.

You can probably have a ton of fun playing the World Tour mode. It's basically a Like A Dragon game, and the Modern controls can probably help you through it.

Yeah... as much as I like watching matches, fighting games just aren't for me.

Mixup games and long combo systems suck for new players. You learn your basics by playing games and characters with very deliberate tools and shortish combos.
