Cure from Kiyoshi Kurosama is excellent, though it's more a murder mystery with some horror elements. It is a slow burn, but worth it. Keep in mind, though, that it's a very difficult movie to find (I only saw it because I got a European release copy, and used one of my 3 uses of DVD region change on my PS4.)
