Makes the same that Im making, even though I do a more difficult job. Im so pissed right now I just want to put in my two weeks. I like my job, but I know Im a better worker than this person. Should I put in my two weeks or try to talk to someone and explain that I feel like I deserve more money? I just dont want to act on emotion, but I want to be treated fairly. Any advice would be appreciated

How much you make TC? I make 70 and do basically nothing.

Unfortunately that's how hiring works everywhere these days. You gotta change jobs to get upgraded anymore.

Work smarter, not harder is one of the first things they tell you to do.

find another job and then demand a raise. if they refuse you can leave to work elsewhere. if they cave it will work out

Worry less about the other guy. Find ways to do less a d still get paid the same.

Your entire company structure is based around people at the top figuring out how to squeeze more work out of you for less. No shame in making them work harder.

Are you actually upset about this is just having a knee hell jerk moment? I cannot begin to understand if it's the former.

Get a backup option, then bring it up with management. If they refuse, I wouldn't even bother with two weeks, just take the new job and start getting paid better asap.

No, agreed, probably no reason to even bring up the other guy's pay. Just bring it up as a requested raise, without the "well the other guy got..." you'll see what kind of place this is to work for if they are willing to give you a raise just because of your work and commitment. Might get the other guy crap also for discussing pay even though it's perfectly fine, most places still discourage it.

Same thought. Any frustration you have should be aimed squarely at management. You can look for (and hopefully find) another job now or ask for more money now, but don't hold anything against the other dude. He didn't do anything against you.

Coincidentally I just had this discussion with my employer 2 weeks ago and got a raise.

I got the raise. Only regret I have is I think I could have gotten a lil more if I asked (I under sold myself in the ask). Although I'm kicking myself a lil for not asking for more, it was still a win since I got a 25% raise. ...at least that's what I'm telling myself lol.
