It's an idea we were discussing a while back, I think i made a joke about a "Quarter Quell" side contest of just former winners since it's the 25th year and then it turned into a more all-star-season event. It could really work as a bot contest for sure, though there's still more SMFFFC-2 to cover.

I didn't know it was an option to change but I never really thought about it.... I'm fine with it this way and think I'd prefer it to seeing full timestamps all the time? Though now you got me wondering what other QOL setting changes I'm missing out on, lol.

I'm... honestly not sure where to go from here. Dagger has Nanis as a primary support, but from what little I've been paying attention that's it. Is anyone even seriously maining Vanille, Rikku and Quistis? Or are they just surviving thanks to scattered secondary support? I don't want to join another team where people don't show up half the time and never trade.

Rikku is my secondary and I'm very reliable

Quistis was traded for this very round, maybe even twice

Its a miracle! And I was told I would regret the death of Eiko

if you use a good timer whether its a website or do it with an ol fashioned watch you should be ok regardless of what the time says

We're going by the current translation, not the original. Lenna goes by Lenna, not Reina, so Ghido should go by Ghido.

we have zero consistency on names (Tactics has had old and new translations listed at the same time, even) so it's whatever people prefer to use

yeah that's what I figured, basically andy staked his claim on the name as his nominator and the rest is history. Ghido is a much cooler name than Gill in any case.

for Jihl she was called just "Nabaat" in her FFXIII-2 DLC too which is weird, in the base game I can only recall her being called that once by Sazh. I guess they just decided to run with it.

(sidenote: while trying to verify the Sazh quote, apparently a FFXIII script doesn't exist?? Meanwhile there's XIII-2's on Gamefaqs and Lightning Returns google search turns up results but FF13 coming up blank, what a weird oversight after all these years...)

13-2 is the superior game so it makes sense someone would care more to make a script guide.

I was under the impression Gran Pulse was universally considered the best part of the game and I certainly fall into that camp, remember all the map "hallway" criticisms? the drabness and banality of so many environments. Meanwhile on Gran Pulse there's some degree of freedom, beautiful environments, great music, missions, just really good times all around. I am beyond overdue for a replay though so maybe I'll change my mind on replaying it.

Ulti: iirc Leon's gripe is that the story grinds to a halt in Chapter 11 and it's a fair criticism but... who cares about the story when you're bouncing around the Archylte Steppe.

Lightning Returns is the best of that trilogy :)

very strongly disagree, I've always despised the stagger system that makes most parts of the fight feel monotonous

it's my same criticism for DFFOO Force Era that makes battles feel like you're doing absolutely nothing until you enter Force Time

I can and have gone so far in depth to how a stagger system ruined dffoo fights, fuck I hate them

I care about the story and I don't mind linear hallways

(Chapter 7 is the best part of the game, totally redeemed both Snow and Hope)
