I keep getting opponents as a low level who finish with 30 kills and 30 assists like an Overwatching Scott Skiles or something.

bring it back to 6v6
bring doomfist back to dps
get rid of the shitty battle pass system and make heroes free again

and then we would be moving in the right direction

For Activision/Blizzard to address their serious problems

add their stupid PvE mode that was a main selling point of the fucking game

Make the game 40 bucks again. Let anyone who has play at least a few matches keep their account.

Literally reverse everything except balance changes and additions.

Put all the old maps back.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but bring back the loot boxes, get rid of battle pass.

Maybe there aren't enough people playing at any given moment to fill matches with similar skill levels at acceptable geographical radius?

Allow me... I've been playing the game since Beta of OW1:

-Add more heroes and maps. There was a 3-4 year period there were no heroes or maps being added. They claimed it was because OW2 was being created, but on release only 3 new maps were added, when there should have been at least a dozen.

-Add variations on maps. Day/Night Kings Row, Raining Lijiang Tower, and actual weather effects.

-Bring back removed maps. Temple of Anubis, Hanamura and Horizon Lunar Colony were removed as the team wasn't a fan of 2CP maps, which I actually enjoyed.

-Autofill. It's gotten a bit better as 5v4 isn't as inbalanced as 6v5, but there needs to be an autofill feature, even if its a bot that doesn't give ult charge.

-Replace Reapers Teleport. This is more personal for me, as I think its useless in most instances. Yeah, you can get behind teams, but its a big waving flag to kill me if people are paying attention.

-Hire on a separate team to make the PVE mode. My suggestion would be to look towards the teams that made Borderlands 2, Bulletstorm, or Lost Planet 2.

-Bring back loot boxes. I don't normally advocate for a terrible business practice, but its a hell of a lot better than their current system

-Change the storefront. Allow all base purchaseables to be available from the hero menu, with only seasonal skins being in the store and for a much better price than 30 dollars.

-Bring back alternative Ultimates. Symmetra was the only hero to get a secondary ultimate, but there is the option now to have other dual ultimates. Torb (lvl 3 turret), Orisa (Super Charger), Reaper (Blood Orbs) etc.

-Progression Leveling. Allow leveling during the game so you have extra effects for ultimates, based on how well you do in the game.

-Add more permanent modes to the game (Competitive FFA, Capture the Flag, Lucio Ball, etc)

That's all I can think of atm outside of just gameplay tweaks.

I don't think so. Back before everyone was private, I see they're the same rank.

The most recent example. I was Rein defending a point against Orisa. Orisa counters Rein hard so I was expecting a rough match. The Orisa ends up standing at choke the entire game, and didn't even attempt to touch the point until the last 10 seconds. I had ult for ages at that point, so I just ran past him and shattered the rest of his team.

His team had like no chance of winning. His DPS picked off our our Ana 3 different times, but he just stood there shooting.

I think the problem is more than they give out false ranks through people getting carried by their friends, and new players getting lucky placements.

The problem with overwatch is that those remaining on developing team just aren't good or talented. Just about every new map is disliked, there are obvious flaws in their designs that make them just not fun. The latest heroes have been poorly designed and older heroes, many of which were designed specifically around the 6v6 format from OW1 remain neglected for way too long. Add in p2w mechanics and a predatory and outrageously priced cosmetics store and you have one shitty package. It deserves all those bad recommendations on steam.

going F2P was a mistake. Overwatch 1 was a game that I thought was worth buying so I did and didnt regret it, and you could still make money from the lootboxes that idiots would still buy even tho there was no reason to.

I love that I bought a game that shut down, and then they try to re-sell me on buying skins that cost $20 each.
