From what I remember, that section makes process or elimination rather easy. You get to a point where you have two dead ends and a glass hallway.

"Will the glass break if I..."

Finding that shit out by yourself then talking about it on the playground sounded like it was fake it was so amazing

I first played this game in 2018, this was the part where I said fuck it and looked up where to go online.

I played the game for the first time ever within the last 2 years. When I got to that part, I just dicked around in that spot with various weapons and I found out what to do.

Its just sorta the nature of Metroid. Are you stuck? Then start blowing shit up and see what happens.

It was the 90s. If you didnt have nintendo power, you were an L7 Weenie.

The fact that you could see pathways up and down would clue most people in that there is a way to access them, and power bombs are established here as being secret path sniffers (the X-ray scope being a slower, resource-free way of doing so in Super), which would also be the role they would take in Fusion and Zero Mission later on.

It didn't take me particularly long to try a power bomb here. No guide necessary.

From what I remember of Maridia's layout though, it isn't even 100% required for you to break this tube, not even to get all the items. It's just a far more convenient entrance than that of the Wrecked Ship.

Took me for fucking EVER to figure that one out. I remember I just kept running around, trying everything, over and over, going back and combing all the area I had traveled so far, until finally I tried a power bomb there and just breathed a sigh of relief that I was through that part.

Super Metroid: Where can't I go, and why can't I go there yet?
Symphony of the Night is the only game yet that understood how that worked.

IIRC, there was a clue in another room with the glass tube already broken.

The demo reel was exactly how I learned about stuff like that super shoulder charge and that self-destruct move. I saw the cpu do it in the demo, noticed they had the same items I currently have, and just mashed the hell out of button combos until I finally pulled it off, lol.

From what I remember I actually found out how to break the glass on my own pretty quickly.....what I took forever to learn how to do was that wall jump.

This. A room nearby showed a broken tube, and the expectation was that you were supposed to connect the dots between them being breakable and you being able to break it. And the game was training you to bust through walls already.
