If you like Hogan's Heroes, The Password is Courage is pretty much the precursor to it.

It is never been stated if HH was inspired by The Password is Courage, but the show definitely takes some inspiration from it even Hogan's outfit is similar to Charles Coward.

The POW camp in Great Escape literally looked like a five-star hotel. All the prisoners were super clean and their clothes had no dust or dirt. BOTRK was much more gritty and realistic.

I found out today that that my grandfather (who is dead now but fought in the Pacific in WWII) hated that movie because of how unrealistic it was.

Yeah, nobody in that camp was a collaborator. They were sabotaging the bridge in any way they could pretty much to a man.

Of those three, I'd rank 'em:

1) Bridge on the River Kwai
2) Stalag 17
3) The Great Escape

BOTRK is one of my all-time faves, definitely.
