Yeah. May mean reconsidering the timing February a bit. But we do have a few games done and several that I'm pretty sure are just an item or two away.

The floodgates have been opened and most games are cleared.

Looks like I'm waiting for speed booster again. I got pretty far with the items I've got so far though.

In contrast to last month, the progression seems to have been very, very front-loaded this time.

Some of us (intentionally or otherwise, oops) are using a bit more progression balancing than usual which contributes to that, but still, kinda nuts

Keeping in with how frontloaded this was earlier, we wound up finishing in slightly under a week.

Midweek bump

I'm considering a Stardew Valley, just making sure I'll have enough time and figuring out which checks to exclude.

That reminds me, I have a longer yaml I'll be using for stardew this month.

In my free time I've been doing a seed with absolutely everything randomed, including entrance randomizer with all the late game checks unlocked and it's been difficult but a lot of fun.

It took me forever to find the entrance to Pierre's shop to start buying seeds, for example. And now when I need to go there I know that I have to travel to Ginger Island, then enter the late game Coconut Door which takes me to the witches swamp, then enter the witches hut which takes me to the inside of the railroad bathhouse, then enter the men's bathroom, which takes me to Pierre's! From there I can take the back exit for Caroline's tea room if I want to visit Elliot's house!

I definitely won't do a seed quite that involved not it'll have more for me to do than last month.

I'm afraid of having to learn recipes for the one cooking bundle and here you are doing crazy maze-like entrance rando lol. I finally installed a poptracker so hopefully I can bumble my way through on baby settings (starting with 50k gold, for example).

Out of curiosity, FD, what's your stance on sending each other items in a Stardew rando? I think it's a fun feature but I could see some people not wanting to diminish the purity of a run by sending crops or fish that the other can't get yet.

I think it's probably fine as long as it's not abused.

In my difficult run I don't even have access to buying seeds for each crop until that seed type gets unlocked. After that point I can earn a check for growing it, a check for shipping it and a check for shipping the seed. So it would be pretty abusive for someone in a significantly easier setup to just mail me 3 copies of each seed type to bypass that limitation.

But if I knew that "Shipsanity: Melon Seeds" happened to be an important bottleneck for someone's game then I don't see the harm in getting sent the melon seeds for something crucial like that.

Yeah I don't mean anything silly like sending one of each crop, but if one of us needs something for a strange bundle, I don't see the harm in gifting stuff occasionally. I'll only be doing cropsanity and fishsanity up to 80 and my bundles will be Thematic so I shouldn't need much. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Got about 7 to 7.5 hours before I generate the multiworld, but here's what we've got for this month (so far)

I could be down for 2 different runs of Ori and the Will of the Wisps if you'd be fine getting that going. I have it all running on my end, I'm just not sure what all you'd need to download, etc.

It took us slightly under a week to finish, but aside from one anomalously early finish (Which was more a learning experience with a new game/settings than anything), everything mostly cascaded together in the past couple days.

For next month, we're looking at probably either the 10th or the 24th. I personally prefer the 10th and will thus probably target that, but I'm open to moving it especially if people want a bit more downtime before May's.

Man, that's still crazy to me. Launch being Sphere 30 in one seed and 42 in the other!

I've played FFVI before, but never with chests added into the pool. It went by super quick those other times so I thought adding chests would make it take longer, but all it did was give me an excuse to check the chests (and make it easy to become overpowered because I got Gem Boxes from other people). So yeah, definitely should up the boss requirement for next time and see if that adds some length to it.

It was kind of a slower trickle this month, with 10 of the 17 games finishing in the past 24 hours, and the last two unfinished have everything they need, so we're pretty close to wrapping this one.
