I could get the Steam version for less than $5 by purchasing from a 3rd party site, but since it's not a game I'll be playing with M+KB controls, and it doesn't require incredible hardware in order to run smoothly, I'd rather play it on my couch because it's more comfortable than my PC chair. But does that justify a $20 difference? Convince me the game is worth $25! ... Copied to Clipboard!

But if the sale only reduces it to like $20, I feel like I might as well go ahead and spend the $25 now. Edit: just used a deal tracker website to see that it regularly goes on sale for $12.49. Buying third parties for Switch is always a terrible idea, so no you shouldnt. You can play a Steam version from your couch using the Steam Link app on some devices, and a docked Steam Deck or whatever else will do the job as well.

The 3rd party was for Steam. Never had a bad experience with g2a.com.No, I meant third party as in multiplatform. But Ive never had a problem with g2a either, thats gray market, not third party. Basically, I am of the opinion that the only thing that should be bought for Switch are first (made by Nintendo) and second (made by a studio Nintendo owns) party games that you cant get on anything better. Anyway, several of you mentioned getting a steam deck. I didn't know they were dockable. That might be a really good investment one day. So many games I would rather play on the couch, but I have to play on my PC. Plus the dirt cheap deals I find at g2a.Yeah, the Steam Deck will work with any USB-C / Thunderbolt dock. The official dock doubles as a stand, but Ive used it with my Thunderbolt dock my company gave me for my work laptop, just have to have a stand to prop it up on if you want it propped (and you probably do, because the exhaust vent is in the back, so it would likely get hot laying flat). Its also way more comfortable as a controller than the Switch is, and EmuDeck is the best and most comprehensive emulation setup Ive seen, as it sets up about w0+ emulators with common controller hotkeys for saving and loading state, turbo, etc., across all of them. It (particularly the OLED one) runs circles around the Switch. The only thing Switch wins at is battery life, but even with my OG Steam Deck, for the kinds of games Id play on a handheld, namely 2D indie stuff, I get 3 or 4 hours of battery, and the OLED has about 30-40% better battery I think. --- https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/profiles/76561198052113750 ... There's perfectly fine multiplatform ports on switch. This game is 720p 60fps and plays really smooth in handheld mode. As someone who puts in 99% of time in docked mode, i played this game 100% on handheld... It was meant for it really. Something the other platforms can't do unless it's SD. --- Less is more. It makes Switch superfluous for anything but Nintendo first parties (and really even those, as it can play them better than the Switch can). OP doesnt care about portability though it seems, and just wants to play from his couch, so he may as well get the best version that can do that, which is the Steam one. --- https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/profiles/76561198052113750 ... Yeah there's a ton of lore but I don't particularly think the lore is strong enough to carry the game. The voice acting is fantastic and watching that is fun. You can often find new voice lines even after a hundred hours. Of course that means you probably ran through everything so many times you're sick of it. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://i.imgur.com/dQgC4kv.jpg ...
