i've fixed the broken piece on mighty freedom, and i've managed to mostly straighten the runners. there's not as much damage as i expected. some definitely are, with the gates ripped off so there's gonna be some annoyances there but it should be otherwise fine

this'll be my 6th freedom type suit, and i don't even really like how they look

not so much of a update, i've still been working on the mighty. bottom half is done, starting the chest now, but

my usual tablet i use i left in the bedroom, so i grabbed the backup tablet and it is...physically larger and heavier than the usual one, despite them only having a 1 inch difference. bezels are just massive.

but, the screen doesn't get near as bright, like it's dark as fuck in this setup and it's incredibly annoying, and seems to be a lower resolution despite them claiming to run the same resolution

pretty sure the usual tablet cost less than the backup tablet, with their specs being the literal exact same hardware wise, just the backup has an 11 inch screen and the other has a 10

that's all i just wanted to shit on this tablet as a bump

little backpack wing falangies are a little fucked because they're bent out of shape, and it's not the easiest to rebend plastic without breaking it or leaving really obvious stress marks

which means the little sliding gimmick on them where they let the shiny pink stickers peak out is kind of ruined

it doesn't look bad, by any means. i'll get it figured out. i don't have the luxury of really utilizing the edges like i had been doing. already i have noted issues, such as the surface of the table is smooth to the touch but of you accidentally slide your phones screen across it? it's going to fuck it up. it's rough as fuck to glass. my phones screen is scuffed as hell now. so some sort of extra large cutting mat or something idk

i can't put any clamps on the table, there's just not enough of a lip, so i'm gonna have to be creative there. for now the tablets fine, i was planning to get a external touchscreen display that's bigger, and just have connected it to my laptop since it would have been close enough. but not being able to do a clampy crane arm puts a damper in that somewhat

it is an updated swanky jaban, screw holes removed because they're not needed now. entire thing is shortened by about an inch because it was already too tall to begin with really

slimmed down the nip slots because they were too wide causing them to rest on their blades. so now tossing a pair in isn't going to potentially damage them, it should just catch on the handles

and a little front tray, for the knife because i got tired of having to reach over and in a bin to grab it. it was in the interim holder, but if i put it blade up i would stab myself, and if i put it blade down then that's just gonna mess up the blade, and it would roll if i just left it on the table. which is not actually a problem since i got a new knife that isn't just a cylinder now, but whatever, it's a little tray.

potential plans for a swanky jaban v3 v2, tilting the thing so they face more towards me instead of just up and down. not a real important change just an aesthetic one, but i couldn't figure out how to just tilt shit in the program i use so i gotta figure that out and it would take too long

oh, and slightly rounded edges. just tryna see how my printer would handle that

the slots are not a good size, but the unit itself isn't tall enough for that to matter so they're still resting on the blades.

he's gonna be so big

building him is a goddamn pain because there's little scale areas on like every single piece and it's just the biggest pain to panel to get it to stand out a little, because the ink does not very easily rub off like on a regular Gundam piece

but the tail is dope. it's just an punch of pieces on some wire, so it's actually bendable and very posable

probably will eventually break if you bend it enough though. on mecha gais video for it, he says you pretty much need an action base for it, so i also picked up one, too. 5 clear

I'm working on a big plastic Spirit Halloween spatula prop for DragonCon. Sanded off the paint and tried to minimize the seamlines. Gonna chrome out the "metal" bits and foam out the handle (both for comfort and for appearance).

The only real problem I have is that it's super light (being hollow). I bought some cheap silicone in a tube, and was considering drilling a hole in the handle and at least partially filling the inside with the silicone.
