It definitely says more about some people than it does about Aloy that the worst thing they can think of to say to a woman is "you're fat lol".

We already have too many undeserving characters like Bayonetta and Joker clogging up the roster. Don't need Aloy's hideous mullet shitting it up more

They could have her as 2 separate characters. Regular Aloy and Fat Aloy.

Without Sakurai's involvement and connections, yeah I highly doubt Nintendo will be able to make another Smash game unless Sakurai comes out of his "semi-retirement" from big budget games.

The first Horizon game was boring af. She seems like a cool character but I'd rather have characters from a better series represented. Especially if they're doing a collab with Sony.

I think there was rumor of Horizon going multi-platform (besides PC) so a Horizon game on the Switch 2 would be interesting.

That was from a Japanese vote and not Sakurai's consideration of James Bond being in Melee. His first and important rule regarding inclusions to Smash was always "originated from a video game".

There definitely exist women somewhere between overly puffy face and anime sex doll. The developers are still new with modern graphic tools. Over time they will be able to fine tune their vision exactly as they intend. And if this truly was their intent that is fine too.

I honestly don't know why Goku fans twist themselves into a pretzel to rationalize the rule won't apply to Goku, or why an existing character harshly breaks that rule. ....scratch that, given DB and it's fans I know why....

I continue to be baffled at how Horizon ended up so huge when the literal only discussion about it I see is the industry-standard "It sold a bojillion copies" and "look at this Cinematic Experience(tm)"

Like, I see praise everywhere for tsushima, I see praise slightly less everywhere for god of war (albeit in the form of reusable memes), Bloodborne is talked about to this day. I see general vitriol for Last Of Us Part 2 Remake 3rd Strike Ultra, but for Horizon? Nothing. The same one final boss clip and 2 screenshots

I think it's gonna happen. Sakurai may have retired, but in his video about the development of Brawl, he does mention the future of Smash near the end. Basically he believes that Nintendo won't let such an important title for them sit idle, so they will probably try to make a new game at some point. And he'll work with Nintendo however he is able.

I personally loved the first horizon game, so I'd be stoked to see her in Smash. Her moveset has the potential to be pretty versatile too. I think it would work.

To be fair, when the poll was done for American votes for the next Smash game (I think it was during Smash 4 or after), for characters to be considered for Smash the top 3 were Sora, Goku, and Spongebob. Only Sora made sense out of the three.

It didn't help that both times the games were released, they were easily toppled by two other giants, Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring.

This isnt true. Sora was confirmed to have gotten the most votes, but anyone who says Goku and SpongeBob ranked highly is just guessing.

Sakurai isnt retired.

There will definitely be another Smash game, its too big a moneymaker to end. And right now theres no reason to think Sakurai wont be the director again.

There just wasn't much else happening on the PS4 at that point, or really ever during its lifespan. Horizon and Bloodborne were basically the only new IPs Sony published that console generation.

If Aloy is in a game, then thatll just mean that an even better game in that genre will be coming out soon thereafter.

BotW and Elden Ring completely overshadowed and surpassed both Horzion games, so adding her to the next Smash invariably means another party game fighter will come out that thereby dethrones Smash.
