It doesn't say it, but I'm guessing the creatures might get a little tired because Kirby absorbed some energy from them to take on their powers or to create that star he spits out. They've already shown there's a whole dimension in Kirby's stomach that holds items in various games and many minibosses like the Squeaks and Bandana Dee you can inhale are perfectly fine later. You can also inhale your allies in multiplayer games and they're immediately fine afterwards too. Kirby doesn't actually kill any enemy other than the major villains in the story.
