Whoever authorized or designed the system to authorize the approval of an order with an incomplete/invalid address. Or whatever system they use to check if an address is valid.

Could argue that he just shouldnt have delivered it anywhere at all but id say the fault ultimately lies earlier in the process.

Did you get ahold of an actual person when you contested it?

I spoke to someone on their online chat, can never tell if it was a real person or AI. They said I would get a refund if it doesn't show tomorrow.

Fair. Can always reorder then if needed though still an inconvenience for extra wait.

Driver / Amazon.

1) Your package didn't get delivered at all, and they have to be aware of it. Where tf is your package, and why can't they tell you that?

2) Meanwhile another package got lost / delivered to you, without informing the person who ordered it at all. Sure, it was impossible to delivere it to their doorstep without a correct address, but that doesn't allow it to just disappear without trace (and it seems this is what happend... well, for Amazon and the customer, you hold it in your hand right now).

In other words, two people ordered a package each, and none of them has any information where it currently is.

That's a big fuck up.

My landlady is off this week or I would ask her if she knows the tenant by name and where they are. Then I could at least give them their item.

The driver is at fault, but it seems like the delivery system itself is the most at fault. Whatever checks they have to ensure accuracy apparently failed.

The other customer isn't at fault for this situation at all. They're only at fault for not receiving their own package, not for yours being screwed up.

The way I see it the other customer is partially responsible. If they would've put their complete address then they would've gotten their package (the one I got) and then the driver would've taken the time to find my package when he got to my place.

Well I just got a notification that what looks like my package is at my door. Although I'm at work for the next 6 hours so I have to hope it stays. Luckily I live in a pretty decent complex and have had packages out all day before without being messed with, plus there are cameras on every building.
