Apparently, the shooter's name is Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Well that tracks. There's no way we've had all these pictures of the guy on the roof without him being identified. Are they saying he's got an accomplice?

If the TMZ videos are true, snipers were already looking AT the shooter before he even fires. Which fits with the story of the eye witness saying he saw somebody and alerted authorities, and they didn't do anything.

I'm not saying I agree with his theory, but sometimes guards will allow the person they're protecting to be... dispatched in exchange for something or because the guards just hate them that much.

I don't think that's the case here, though it is very curious why they were so lax.

It's very easy to conspiracy theory in either direction, saying either they wanted it to happen, or knew it wouldn't be successful.

Which is why it's dumb to conspiracy theory, in general.

I'm curious where the victims were in relation to Trump. They were in the grandstands but I couldn't ascertain exactly where.

Every fact that comes out makes this even more bizarre, so, no, this is absolutely not something that can be clamed, yet.

EDIT: Well, depends how you define "fake." A shooting happened, yes. How staged or not it was is up to question, since the facts are just so bizarre, currently.

Is 1000% real. That still cannot be human tissue debris, because, based on where he was actually hit, that is way too low to be the shot that hit him.

Keep in mind Im not disagreeing, more just Devils advocate. I agree that patience and waiting for widely sourced fact is the proper answer. But to play that other angle a little more, he routinely tilts his head, especially opposite of the direction hes looking. So his right ear would have been lower at that point, and when you see him touch his ear it also would reflect that.

Another possibility is its shrapnel, which wouldnt be traveling near as fast and which would have debris from hitting his ear.

Mods needs to start banning people running with names atm when officials have not yet presented any. Especially when the source for the name being put out there is NY Post who at the start of the shooting was saying it was a chinese shooter.

Depends what they mean by fake. If they mean it literally did not happen? Of course it did, that's crazy.

If they mean it may have been staged? That's where things get iffy, since the facts are super, super bizarre, so far.

It's also possible that law enforcement has learned that they sometimes get in trouble when they just start shooting at people.

I just dont think this will end with the discovery that it was all staged. That might be the one thing that could sink trumps campaign.

If somehow an investigation finds it was staged, i will gladly concede. But immediately calling it staged before anything has come out is not a good thing to do, and there were a crazy amount of people just denying it. People were saying it was fake bullets and paintballs in some posts

What's making people question things is authorities aren't actually sure if he really got hit or not, there's speculation that something else might have caused the injury. Nobody knows anything concrete, other than endless questions about how everything was handled, and thus theories are flying.

I know everyone wants to make sense of it, but there will always be tons of false info/misinformation on social media with massive events like this

His ear looked pretty messed up. Not a direct hit, but a glancing blow would definitely do that kind of damage. I thought it could be shrapnel at first, but youd most likely see dozens of tiny cuts on his face if it was shrapnel. All you see is what looks like two cuts on his face and a messed up ear.

I was late to the info. It was proven false by the time I knew the pics were a thing. But those people who were checking 10-15 minutes ago were probably fooled by it.

Other unverified info is still out there though about the individual political affiliation. I obviously haven't said it to not spread it in case that too is also false. Yea it is pretty bad out there if you are actively following social media since people want a motive right now on why this shooter did this.
