lol right. Anyway hospitals around here are filled with patients again so this isnt shocking

Since June, dozens of people at work have tested positive for it. I primarily work outside and during hours when there aren't many other people around. I also mask up when inside the building (do that anyway because we work with wild animals) but I've definitely had prolonged contact with infectious people x_x

I haven't tested positive for it (except for a faulty test) but if I've had it, it was asymptomatic or just blended in with my summertime breathing problems. That compels me to remain vigilant but it also makes it seem like it's already happened or is inevitable x_x

And people were literally mocking me and trolling me for getting my vaccine and being confused as to why others don't.

I'm recovering from my second bout as we speak.

Almost everyone in my office has had it this month except me. I had it about 4-5 months ago so prob still have antibodies.

Ofc everyone keeps having to unspoken pressure to come into work regardless of being ill and spreading it like crazy.

Im just getting over it. My boss had it 2 weeks ago and was coming to work, no mask, no isolation, no time away.

A lot of patients and staff coming out positive at my work so definitely a wave...

I got boosted last year and I'm definitely getting the new booster when it's available. If other people want to roll the dice that's on them.

there's always that risk with my brother who visits for a shower, i gotten sick a few times when he visits (last time was a nasty cold that lasted 10 days).

Do you have health issues that covid would affect?

I dont want to assume in case you have legit reason but limiting human interaction forever despite having all your boosters just seems like a little too much :(

working on my weight issue. supposed to go to the medical clinic in a few weeks (hopefully will be around 320-330 pounds)

my high was 363. 220 pounds is my target weight for my height.

Just got over it from last week. Our hospital has been ravaged by it. The vaccines need to be out like 2 months sooner than they normally are.

Had COVID about three weeks ago.

I mean I know they are always suggesting to wait for your age group and all that and you might feel obligated but vaccinated numbers are so low that they are literally throwing away non-viable vaccines that expire. It's like the joke that you can go and order a birthday cake whenever you want, nobody is going to verify that it's actually your birthday. They aren't going to ask you what your reason for getting the shot is and you won't be be denying someone else. It's not like when the vaccines first came out when demand far exceeded supply.

I have still never had it yet despite it working it's way through my work twice where in impacted everyone except the 5 of us who were in the U.S. Navy. We always joke that we were given so many vaccines/shots in the military we are immune haha.

But so far this year nothing in my area. My doctor's office/medical facility no longer does masks and hasn't for awhile and largely doesn't even talk about it. They don't even recommend boosters anymore. So yeah you can definitely see it just isn't at the forefront anymore.

Yeah, the ERs have been ridiculously overpacked with COVID patients throughout the summer.

I had it beginning of August.
I'm mostly back to 100%, ruined my birthday tho

It depends largely on your genetics, epigenetics, and age. Some people who develop natural immunity still have high COVID19 antibodies after 2 years, while others lose the vast majority of them after 6 months.

My wife and I both currently have it. Both of us are up to date on boosters so it's not too terrible, but being sick still sucks. My wife is a teacher and last week a parent emailed her to say her kid tested positive for covid. So that's likely where we got it.

think teacher is far worse (but very rewarding when teaching kids things).

Yeah, my dad got Covid a couple of weeks ago.

You forgot hospitals and county jails. Seriously, jail is one of the top-5 spreaders of communicable disease.
