Consensus is it's more of a hack and slash than a soulslike

I've been told its more like Devil May Cry

Been seeing a few clips of it and it definitely has the DNA of a Souls game with enemies hiding behind corners and sometimes making cheap shots at you. Don't know what the level design is like, but there's a ton of bosses.

Ah yes, the two types of video games: Soulslike and Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

It doesn't look like a hack n slash at all. It has stamina bars and health refills like any Soulslike. You're just using a staff weapon while cycling through cooldown skills.

Dark Souls II was a hack n slash?

Looks like Souls with more basic attacks and tools. Also it has a stamina bar. You would not want to play a DMC/ hack and slash like game with a stamina bar

Its not a Souls game.
