Competent co workers who cause no drama, zero work toxicity, a very good manager/boss, yearly accrual of 5 weeks paid time off, 15 minute commute. If you work with customers, zero incompetent or rude customers.

That's like one annual raise in exchange for straight upgrades to everything but the commute (I'm at like 8-9 minutes on a clear day)

If youre coming from the complete opposite of that yeah. Its hard to put a value on a proper work environment. I wont go into every detail but I work for a state college and I choose to work here vs the city utility when I could immediately make about $20K more working for the city.

But Im already happy with the money I make, its pretty good for the area. I get free and good health insurance and my retirement is WAY better at my current job. They contribute 200% what I put it. Tons of time off, better schedule, the list goes on and on. The place Im at is way better to work and Im taking better retirement, benefits/free insurance over another $10 an hour.

Not everything is about the $ per hour. $2 is pretty insignificant for a major change in environment for the better.

Yea cuz having a good boss means I can probably ask for a raise without a argument or BS and get back to normal pay quickly

So basically, you make about $4,100 less if you have a 40 hour work week.

Yes, worth it. Im mostly looking at the reduction in commuting by 45 minutes one way, so 90 minutes per day. That comes out to roughly 16 days of commuting time that I get back each year.

The only one of these that would be a huge improvement is the last one. The workplace is decent enough and I get four weeks leave per year, and the commute is about 5 minutes. Definitely some incompetent customers but nothing unmanageable.

Nah. I work part time for $11/hour, I don't think $9 an hour is enough. $11 only works because my expenses are very low. The paid time off is nice, but I only work 3 days a week, sometimes 4, so I don't really think the paid time off is worth the pay cut. The rest of the stuff you mentioned is already not an issue at my job since I'm by myself for most of my shift, and the commute is actually slightly longer.

Nah, I work from home and rarely interact with my co workers. The clients I deal with aren't rude either.

I get zero paid time off so with that paid time off its barely a pay cut.

Also the no drama/toxicity or rude customers means I can transition very easily far as work goes and I somehow can magically get to work twice as fast.
