I miss him.

I can honestly tell you that if President Obama were able to run again he would be back in office.

He still got it.

That full Dad Voice when he yelled "I'm not looking for applause right now."

I miss him too. I have so much respect for him.

And I think it is such a shame that his presidency took place during a time when the GOP are bad faith actors disguised as a political party. He had a message of unity and moving forward together that America really needs, but that is threatening to a party that is only interested in power grabs and governing through anger and fear. So they intently focused on defeating anything positive for America instead.

I love the bit about the economy, and when he talked about Republicans' dropped standards. All the lying Trump is doing is not ok.

Genuinely surprised that CNN aired this, considering theyre pro-Trump now.

Man, you can tell just how much he cares about this stuff too. I miss him as our leader so much.

Hearing him talk, I thought back to the people who still think Trump is out there doing actual work and helping out and all those AI pictures of him walking through water in boots. It's still insane that people think that's all true. It's insane that people think he's trying to help when he's never shown any ounce of wanting to help in his whole campaign.

It's insane that we're stuck dealing with this and I wish Obama could have ran again...because I'd vote him. He seems to really care. Harris cares but you know who doesn't seem to care? Trump. Why are people so obsessed with him? I 'll never get it.

The Obamas have insane stage presence. Well, IDK about the daughters since theyve never really had to speak out to such large audiences like this, but Michelle and Barack are great speakers, even with Barack sounding a bit rougher than he used to.

I dont agree with everything he did in his presidency, but I wish Biden and Harris could hav the sheer presence that the Obamas have.

Remember when Obama was president and there was an idiotic movement about his birth certificate being in another country? Does anyone remember who led the charge on that? And does anyone remember any big time GOPer speaking out?

He tried to do it again to the current Democratic nominee.

That is something that will continue to happen, unfortunately. They'll try to latch onto anything to try to discredit someone.

Obama was a dude that I 100% believed was always trying his very best to make the country better. I have not had that same feeling about all presidents.

He had a filibuster proof Democratic caucus in the Senate for a few months, which is when the first ACA bill was written up. Took a while to get some anti-abortion Democrats on board, as well as a Dem Senator from Nebraska who held out for more money for his state, because it's tougher to get a group on board for something than to get a group in lockstep against something.

Once Scott Brown was sworn in a little more than a year into his first term and the Republicans had that 41st seat to threaten to filibuster any and everything that came down the pike, what policy was going to get through? You end up with Republicans like McConnell filibustering his own bill. Or crying that Obama didn't tell them about the potential retribution consequences of overriding his veto of the bill allowing families of 9/11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia, which he had laid out in the letter saying that he was vetoing the legislation. (Congressional Dems take some blame for that, too.)

The thing Obama spent too much time on was giving Republicans a chance to come together and not realizing sooner that electing a Black man to the White House broke too brains on the other side of the aisle.

"Pretending to drink Flint water' is the worst conspiracy anyone has ever come up with. What sense does it even make? He sipped it and said it was safe because it was filtered. If they were doing a stunt, wouldn't they just have poured it from a bottle backstage?

Then he signed a bill to massively overhaul Flint's water system in a way that Flint has some of the cleanest water in the country.
