And I used shadows for the last 256 of them. But I'm okay with this.

Here are the last four Pokemon I missed, in hint form:

1. The Pokemon that's similar similar to Tauros but has an afro
2. The Pokemon that's the mid-stage evo of Hattrene
3. The Pokemon that's an ancient paradox version of Raikou
4. The Pokemon that's similar to a parrot with a pompadour

I gave up about 200 in because I got tired of typing but I certainly would have started missing a couple hundred once we got into gens 7-9. Amazingly, Bouffalant is one that I would have gotten, even as a Gen V hater.

Somehow the name that came to my mind was Buffron/Baffron which sounds like an Anglicized version of its actual name!

Also I kinda hate the practice of adding more Pokemon in the DLC since even if you play the main game thoroughly you'll never encounter them if you don't spend more money. :/

I got to 857 from memory, and 959 with shadows. Most of the missing ones are from gen 9, which I haven't played, and I got all pokemon from the first seven generations.

The site glitched out on me because I tried zooming out mid-quiz. Multiple shadows began overlapping and some pokemon got multiple shadows out of order.

I would not do well post-gen 3 regardless

Got 400 before decided to turn on shadows
So far completed first 4 gen and in total got 700 but now I feel like my brain is fried and even Pokemon that I should have no problem naming I have a blackout so I will take a break

Hardest for me from the early gens was Mudkip evolution that I keep thinking it was named "Marshadow" until I remembered it was somewhat close
Also my brain was so fried even at that point that I tried to name "Hariyama" as "Hiroshima"

Yeah, I know the feeling as well. It didn't help that I did it late at night after a long day and I felt like I was short circuiting lol.

Pokemon that I had problems naming for the longest time (but got it):
Karrablast, Gossifleur, Carracosta, Hatenna
Basically Pokemon that doesn't really have a similar naming convention to its evolution line (except for the last one, which just escaped my mind and I found tricky to spell).

Be aware if you enter Missingno, he starts appearing randomly on the screen which can be distracting.

Oh right, yeah. I thought entering it again will undo it but nope.

spent way too long on this and tapped out at 1011. Got to around 700 or so before turning on shadows

Got all the first four generations but was stuck on Glameow for the longest time for some reason

The ones I missed were

Brionne, Grubbin, Cutiefly, Fomantis, Lurantis, Salandit, Steenee, Hakamo-o
Hatenna
Quaxwell, Tarountula, Nymble

8/14 were from Gen 7, including the only full line I missed

Consdiering Pokemon is my favorite franchise and I have a complete living dex and pretty much catch them all in every single game

I just can't. Currently at 855/1025 and I am having hard time remembering names.
Like, if I read the Pokemon name I can tell which Pokemon it is, but trying to name the Pokemon itself is pretty hard for me at this point
1 Gen 5 Pokemon (the fuck is your name, Crustle pre-evo)
4 Gen 6 Pokemon (That counterpart to Spritzee and it's evo, Amaura evolution, that drugged Horsea)
9 Gen 7 Pokemon

And a lot of Galar and Paldea Pokemon
Especially Paradox Pokemon that you would expect that would be easy to remember as they have easy names, and the future Pokemon have one word that is always the same
But nope somehow I can't remember almost any of them

Oh these guys also gave me trouble, especially the pre-evo.

I started on it backwards with Gen IX. I completely forgot about the Shroodle, Glimmet, and sadly Flamigo lines.

For Gen VIII it was only Indeedee and (annoyingly) G-Weezing. (The latter of which would not be a problem if I started from the beginning). I also initially forgot about Pincurchin but remembered it when I entered Pyukumuku later on.

For VII I forgot about the Morelull and Crabrawler lines, and simply couldn't think of Dhelmise's name. Also hung up on another single stage, that turned out to be the extra Zygarde forms... So dumb.

Remembered everything for VI (including Megas), but by then I really wanted to know what I was missing in the other generations, so I turned on shadows and then lost interest.

After you enter Ditto, it will transform into the last Pokemon you typed for each one you type after Ditto. I was baffled for a bit at first, wondering why there were two Growlithes before I figured it out when the second Growlithe became a second Gyarados.

Got to 584 without shadows, 812 with shadows before giving up.

Got all of Kanto/Johto, and was only missing 1 from Hoenn (Barboach) and 5 from Sinnoh (Shinx, Buneary, Glameow, Bonsly, Finneon).

Took about 1h40m (but had a bit more time to think because things kept coming up) to get to 1006 without shadows before giving up...

My misses:
Pineco, Forretress, Delibird
Finneon, Lumineon
Snom, Frosmoth
Lechonk, Tandemaus, Maushold, Capsakid, Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, Tinkaton, Varoom, Revavroom, Iron Hands
Okidogi, Terapagos

Most of these feel like silly fails to me :(

Also still probably would've at least missed Lechonk, Capsakid, and Okidogi with shadows, since I thought of them even as their names eluded me :/

Okidogi is an interesting miss since he's a part of a group, but yeah their names are kinda funky. I got Munkidori the latest out of them since I kept trying to spell his name as Monkidori.

Lechonk's name was a minor controversy when it was first revealed since some people said it's pandering to meme culture so that's one way to remember it.

But 1006 without shadows is amazing regardless.

Yeah, the only reason I missed Hatenna is because I was operating under the assumption that it had the same starting spelling as Hattrem and Hatterene. So I was spelling it Hattena.

Got about 905 without shadows, then 997 with shadows. I haven't played the S/V DLC, so I don't know most of those guys. Struggled hard with Gen IX, but the only one I'm really kicking myself for not getting is Brambleghast, I really like that guy!
