It very well might be the only one I ever give. My vitriol for this game and everything that's spawned from it is unmatched.

It really depends on what season you're talking about to be honest, but I've had plenty of fun memories with this game over the years and though I've stopped playing it often the combination of building and surviving through tense matches can never really be topped at times. I do think the sheer scope and breadth of this game too with its ambitious concerts and live events is something really remarkable as well.

Fortnite has also received massive bloating over the years, becoming bogged down in modes like Lego, Racing, Music, millions of user-generated modes and maps - it's something you can easily both criticize and praise in the same breath, something that keeps the game endlessly relevant but also THAT much more of a money-munching machine. The game is absolutely lost in its own sauce and is way too far gone to ever be the same again, but I still think, at its core, the game can be simple fun if you ignore all the fat.

Haven't played enough to feel justified in rating but I imagine it'd be towards the lower end. I am not a fan of the build mechanics.

Can't deny its impact, plus it can be fun to play with friends. Just not fond on building mechanics

Another hard one to rate. I think theres a real risk here of being a crotchety old person yelling at whatever the kids are into and I definitely wouldnt automatically dismiss what this game has achieved. At the same time all of its elements feel serviceable rather than exceptional. It is definitely very well supported though. Ill go with a 7/10.

I had plenty of fun with it, in spite of the microtransactions. Dunno what it's like these days with the onslaught of crossover stuff, but I imagine the base is still entertaining. (Assuming this is Battle Royale and not Save the World)

This is really hard to rate. It's a completely different game now than it was even a few years ago, let alone when it first came out. The quality also varies drastically season to season. Also, there are a ton of modes now which also vary in quality. I don't even play the regular mode because I hate building, so I only play Zero Build. It also has A LOT of bugs and every update they seem to break something else. Honestly it's not a very good game but it's enjoyable at times, depending on the season. Also some very good crossovers that have actually gotten me to spend money. Overall I feel pretty good about giving this a
