It's kinda hard for me to jump ship with Twitter. I joined it 3 years ago after someone posted a collection of my maps and it went viral. This led me to realize I had a bigger fan base than originally though. Then shortly after that, I got the interview with PC Gamer, that base grew more. So while I would love to drop Twitter, after the positive that came from it personally, it's hard to just walk away from that.

Too many people here rely on it for their news organizations, sports info, game stuff, art, etc. Sure *some* people might not use it again but it will be an insignificant amount.

People bitch about products, stores, platforms, and stuff all the time but still use those stores and products all the time.

I have never had an account because I dont use any of that shit but it isnt hard to see almost every link posted here these days in something from Twitter.

Only if Bluesky actually picks up. I follow like 400 creators and only like 5 I've noticed have declared a permanent jump. Right now, it's just a backup plan for most people.

I would love to jump ship, but the people I follow have to first. I did create a Bluesky account after one of the topics here, but deleted it soon after. Only 3 of the people I follow are there and I immediately got followed by spam accounts. I even looked through the equivalent of the for you tab a few times to seeing if I could find new and interesting to follow, but it was all trash.

So is Trump gonna go back to twitter now that he has the prez twitter handle again or is he still staying on that other site

Musk is basically rubbing it in Democrats' faces by having "WE WON" and "YOU LOST" on the top trending.

Pretty much heavily considering completely switching to Bluesky, yeah. It's unbearable there now.

I agree TC, but we still have people who heavily push "we cant survive without it or look for an alternative to Twitter."

So given the heavy push to use it, and heavy push collectively that an alternative is out of the question.....

There's still a ton of people on Twitter that I follow for news. Can't trust local media for it. They aren't on BlueSky yet, because they refuse to cede any ground to Musk. I barely post there anymore. The most I do is like and retweet.
