X6 straight up can be unwinnable if you don't have the right parts or armor, & armors are locked to X, while parts can be lost forever. X7 tried to awkwardly convert an extremely 2D gameplay to a 3D plane, & it just doesn't really work. X8 was decent; it would be great if it didn't spend so much time on gimmick levels. --- Remember kids, it's only an RPG until someone gets hit with a meteor; Then it's a JRPG! X5 i got to the end game but never beat it. The entire idea of the character playing itself and you just build some stuff around it looks like those grind sections you have for daily gacha. In a hilarious retrospect you could say the game was ahead of its time.
