I saw this movie the other day based on Red Letter Media's recommendation, particularly Jay's quotes in this video (starts at 55:23), and it was the most insane movie experience I've ever had.

I do have people in my life that watch movies but none that I could safely recommend this to in any real way. I just wanted to put it out there that if you have the ability to see it (it might be out of American theaters entirely by now but it just started in Korea) you should. "Jaw-dropping" is a word that usually doesn't mean what it says but my jaw was literally hanging open at the end of the movie. A lady who sat through the previous 2 hours ran out of the theater and still only caught like half of the ending because it keeps ramping up for a solid 30 minutes.

It also has a lot of Margaret Qualley footage that in the old internet would've broken those websites that track celebrity nudity scenes in movies. She has a fantastic body (and can also act quite well).

Had to do research about this and apparently the actress TC talked about having a nude scene used prosthetics. Saw scene and noticed that I didn't remember knowing the actress having a body like that and sure enough, Hollywood magic.

When I first saw this on a marquee I thought it was a sequel to The Stuff.

You can very broadly guess the beats from the premise but its like saying hearing about Robocop and saying "Oh so a guy becomes a robot cop and gets revenge on the guys that made him a robot?" That's correct but that's not very close to actually seeing the movie for yourself.

Its the kind of recommendation that might make friends/family wary of further recommendations. It is genuinely a good and interesting movie but I'm sure a lot of people would have a hard time watching it with their mom or whatever.

I guess in retrospect its obvious that they'd push her body even further than reality but even accounting for that she's really something. I hope Qualley gets more work going forward. This is the sort of role that however many years ago would've been written with Scarlett Johansson in mind.
