They are stuck over there now, with one of the most repressively cruel regimes of the 20th century.

Maybe there are greater fucking priorities than Harris's loss atm. Asylum seekers are going to die. That is a thing that is going to happen as a direct consequence of Trump in office.

That's what I don't get with these protest/uncommitted voters. The evidence is right there on the wall, and they still needed to be convinced? Fully agree. Every time I hear that here or out in the world, I try to contest it. Both parties have flaws, but one has flaws like every political party in history and the other one is a bad faith entity full of criminals and those enabling criminals. They are not remotely the same.

The problem, as you know, is that part of the GOP propaganda blast since the 80s has been to convince people that all politicians and political institutions are bad in order to reduce their own accountability and increase voter apathy Everyone does it has been the first line of the GOP deflection playbook for decades.

Now, by design, huge swaths of voters think same thing both sides is actually real, and continue to think so no matter how much the GOP push the boundaries. Undoing that mentality is going to be hard. If seeing a coup attempt unfold on live TV isnt sufficient for people to get it, I dont know what can be said to make voters understand.
