Higher prices than people initially expected isn't price gouging.

Price gouging would be raising the prices in response to scarcity / their failure to meet demand

Video games have been in the $50-70 range all the way back to the SNES days, if not earlier. Adjusted for inflation, those games are anywhere between $100-140 in today's money.

I'm not happy about the price increase either, but let's be honest, video games have been hit by inflation FAR LESS than other sources of entertainment over the decades.
