Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has urged the administration of President Donald Trump to protect American citizens and immediately stop sending weapons to Israel.

In a post on her account on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Tlaib referenced the killing of 14-year-old Omar Mohammed Saadeh Rabee, who was shot dead by Israeli forces while among a group of three children holding U.S. citizenship in the occupied West Bank.

Tlaib stressed that the first responsibility of the Trump administration is to protect American citizens, adding: But instead, we are arming their killers. She demanded an immediate ban on U.S. weapons transfers to Israel.

On April 6, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement that Omar Mohammed Saadeh Rabee was martyred after succumbing to his injuries from Israeli army gunfire in the town of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank.

In another statement, the ministry reported that Israeli settlers had opened fire on Palestinians in the same town during an attempt to seize Palestinian land, wounding two people, one of them critically.

Since the beginning of its genocidal war on Gaza, the Israeli military and settlers have escalated attacks across the West Bank, including in occupied East Jerusalem, resulting in the killing of over 945 Palestinians, injuring nearly 7,000, and the arrest of 15,800, according to official Palestinian data.

Backed by the United States, Israel has been carrying out what has been widely condemned as a genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving over 166,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, the majority of them women and children, and over 14,000 missing.

Donnies obviously not going to listen to her, but Kamala might have if the folks who stayed home on their couches in protest had bothered to actually go out and vote.

Is that a trick question? Yes, I agree with her that Donnie needs to halt the shipments of arms to Israel since theyve shown that theyre only interested in genocide as the resolution to their conflict with Palestine, but he most definitely wont do that based on his previous statements on the ongoing situation.
