Maybe Reed's solution is to pull some multiverse B's and kick Galactus into the main universe (and deal with it later)

Galactus can jump universes. He will probably call in help, maybe through the quantum realm, reach out to ant man, get some pym particle bullshit going on to make Thing as big as Galactus and punch him out or something like that.

Can somebody tell me more about Galactus? I've never read a F4 comic before, so I have little experience with his character other than what he looks like on Google Images, and the info that he devours planets.

Is it a good idea to portray him as a giant who's big but still small enough to walk through a city? What would be the likely most desirable way to portray him in a movie?

Galactus is more like a force of nature. Hes an absolute in the universe, the end of entropy itself. Its not a moral thing what he does, he just does. Theres no right or wrong to it. Hes destruction incarnate. Usually.

He has no shape, he has no true form; every species sees him differently. He was a cloud in F4ROTSS becayse they were planning a silver surfer spin off film, and they didn't have character designs finalized for that movie yet and didn't want to shackle the would be director to their version.

In 616 she's a humanoid alien like Norrin before he became the surfer.

The fart cloud from ROTSS wasn't Galactus it was his space ship. Galactus was inside somewhere and you didn't see him.

Interesting choice to have Reed's power reveal be a slow mo shot. Looks kinda goofy.

I'm not really a fan of portraying the 1960s in some sort of glorified, utopian light. So this movie kinda curdles my stomach.

I would love if we could make it through the entire movie without them referencing some other movie or TV show that will be required to contextualize whatever time travel or dimension hopping happens.

The MCU is a bloated mess and their handling of timelines has been a confusing disaster. This really needs to be a fresh start, unshackled by all the other nonsense that has come before.

The main earth isn't getting destroyed. This is a perfect chance for us to see Galactus actually destroy an earth on screen.

Then how the f4 escape can be whatever. Reed's own doing, tva, Franklin Richards, etc

That's fine. Just make sure whatever thing reed invents to get them out of that universe is entirely self-contained. We don't need to know how or why it interacts with the TVA or all these other timeline shenanigans.

The current saga of the mcu is officially named the Multiverse Saga so... your wish probably won't happen. The upcoming Avengers movies also will deal with the multiverse. I think it might be over after that though, and we will enter the 3rd saga, which nobody knows what the theme will be

Also the third character announced for avengers Doomsday was literally this sue storm and it'll be the last movie before that

Yep. One of the many reasons that the only good F4 movie thus far was The Incredibles.

I'm now thinking that the stylized retro-futurist 60's setting was chosen in part to help distract from the inherent goofiness of Reed's stretching powers.

Me too, I think the campiness of those 1960s Marvel comics is a lot of the charm, especially Fantastic 4. That's also why I'm glad they went with that late 1960s look.

Galactus is an extremely powerful Cosmic character in the comics who is more of a force of nature than a good guy or bad guy. He travels across the universe consuming planets, but tries to minimize harm by turning people into heralds, like the silver surfer, to scout ahead and find suitable planets.

Heralds are essentially just scouts of his he empowers for the purpose of tracking down life enriched worlds for him to consume. The more amount of life there is and the more sentient and intelligent its populace is, the better.

Also in case youre wondering..he doesnt just do this himself because using Heralds is far faster and more energy efficient. As traveling aimlessly long distances in through the cosmos himself consumes massive amounts of energy.

Thats all it needs to look like. Its gonna look wierd, because people usually ain't built that way

I'm still mad they stole Kamala Khan's power from her because they didn't want her to debut stretch powers before we got Mr Fantastic. And then because they have always done this, they fucked with her in the comics to make her like in the mcu. Even though most mcu watchers don't even read the comics

Yes, it's set in a different universe from the main one.

I'm not sold on this, mostly because we've seen Disney over and over again always try to make a tryhard first impression, and then back it up mainly with surface-level appeal. The setting, narrative, pieces of script...it's just whatever.

Her powers are completely unchanged in the comics. She still stretches and grows and such. The only way you'd not know this is if you also do not read the comics.

If you're talking about them making her a mutant, she was originally created to be a mutant but in fact was made an inhuman... to coincide with the marvels inhumans push. So this is more like retuning her to her orignal intent. But her powers didn't change
