Anyway, I don't worry I'm a bad person. I'm not saying I'm morally perfect, just that I know what's right from wrong and try my best to live accordingly.

No. Its just not in me plus Im extremely isolated. Outside work all I do is relax at home and game, watch tv/movies, listen to music and rad books. I keep to myself so how would I end up being a bad person by just enjoying my hobbies and keeping to myself?

I guess you could say Im a poor family member/friend because I never reach out to anyone and if they didnt contact me Id never talk to anyone again but I dont think that makes me a bad person. At least not in my mind. Just wanting to be left completely alone doesnt make me bad.

I consider myself a piece of shit, but not because I'm a bad person. I try my best to be good to others. I'm far from perfect, and I've definitely had major screw ups before, ones that hurt others. It was never intentional though. I struggle to forgive myself over those times.

But here lately, due to the state of the world and our country, I have been noticing I'm becoming much more jaded and judgemental of others. So, I kind of feel like I might be on the way, at least on the inside. So I have been worrying about it somewhat.

Damn, I guess I feel fortunate that I dont feel like a bad person reading all these posts >_>. I never screwed over anyone before, I help out tons of people all the time and have saved countless lives at work while always working to improve myself and my craft, and I'm true to myself and follow my beliefs (even though the hornyposting rules forbid it now >_>). I sleep well at night which I guess is a good measurement of character lol

Everyone has intrusive thoughts. It's natural. As long as you dont act on them like a crazy person, you're good

I don't really care about stuff like that, I feel like no matter how you act you're going to get some people who just don't like you (or people that do like you) just act as natural as possible to have similar minded people around you.

I mean, your brain sends hundreds of billions of signals a second. Every day, thousands of thoughts, many of which are not ours to control are created, just because of this fact. Our thoughts, are only partially ours to control. There are going to be quite a few bad thoughts that pop up that only are created because the brain is just creating them from a random image generator.

I certainly have a capacity for being a bad person, but Ive done more to help people than I have to harm them, and by quite a large margin.

I worry about it. When I first became a school psychologist, I used to get a lot more rattled by every little thing the students were going through, and wanted to save everyone from everything. I now realize that students are more resilient than I gave them credit for, and that some amount of adversity is important for growth. My fear is that, over time, I might lose my ability to gauge just how much they should be allowed to struggle, and that Ill become callous or indifferent.

Yeah. There's been a handful of times in my life where I've done something that I believe crosses the line into being unforgivable. And I still think about them all the time. But I've never done anything to hurt another person, so I think I'm okay. Nothing for it but to be better in the future. Therapy and medication helps too.
