Well, I don't really understand the question. I like some movies that are black and white. Like, The Manchurian Candidate is one I watched recently and it was ok. I don't think I've ever saw a black & white movie. I did however grow up watching reruns of black & white shows on Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and TV Land. IE I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, Bewitched(earlier seasons), I Dream of Jeannie(earlier seasons), The Munsters etc. --- It's amazing how people hang around message boards of games they don't like ... Yeah, I used to watch a lot with my grandpa. I really liked Marx Bros. and Laurel and Hardy flicks. Of course there were a ton of black and white war movies that he introduced me to that I never would have seen otherwise. As far as modern black and white flicks go, I still havent seen the lighthouse, but Ive heard amazing things. Godzilla One -C was amazing. Outside of that? Uh, Pleasantville, The Lighthouse, and some old horror movies are all great. I don't really go out of my way to hunt down black and white movies, but I've definitely seen more than a few of em. I have seen many black and white movies, and quite a few are all-time greats. I've probably seen all of the ones on the IMDB top 250. Too many to list. And my childhood was full of tv shows that were black and white or at least started in black and white and transitioned over to color in that mid to late 60s era. Like it was seriously common. Just watched Young Frankenstein yesterday, it holds up great. Granted, its only 50 years old, as opposed to 75 or 100 years like lots of other black and white films, so while it was clearly a choice to do that one in black and white, I think it works well. Seven Samurai is the best movie ever. Plus all the other Kurosawa classics. And Film Noir. Classic Hitchcock. Night of the Living Dead. 8 & 1/2, La Dolce Vita, Dr. Strangelove, Metropolis, M, The Best Years of Our Lives, Casablanca, the Maltese Falcon, The Third Man, etc. Honestly, I would take those movies over pretty much everything that has come out in this century. ... Sure, I like them. Two of the best haunted house movies are black and white: The Haunting and The Innocents And then there's Joan Crawford and Bette Davis in What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?
