Sadly he's right, people don't care about anything outside of their personal bubble and once it hits them they'll be powerless to do anything about it anyway and as time goes by and the media stops talking about it the issue will be forgotten and eventually sanewashed by the media, Trump did a shitload of things that should have made Republicans as a party gone from the system but the public didn't care they voted him back in again because he lied his ass off about what he was going to do, it'll happen again. --- A worthless existence ... Their vote on this ridiculous bill just got harder. Senate Parliamentarian ruled the health care provider taxes cap cant be part of the budget reconciliation process. GOP idiots were counting on that provision to offset the cost of the stupid wealth transfer/tax cuts (provision makes state pay more and the federal gov pay less). Now that provision would be subject to 60 vote threshold instead of simple majority vote without a change in the budget reconciliation rules. Which could still happen, although historically parties have listened to the Parliamentarian (not that MAGA cares for norms, but still). Just glad to see a speed bump for this monstrosity. Also: Mitch McConnell is an absolute scourge on society. So to continue the Parliamentarian ruling post I made earlier in the thread, Tommy Tubberville (or however you spell his dumb name, I dont care), has now tweeted out that the Parliamentarian must be fired ASAP. Some things to note here: 1.This is obviously not surprising. I am sure that Coach T will not be the only MAGA bootlicker to say this, but he will certainly be the dumbest. Because he is always the dumbest. 2.I know this means nothing to a cult where bowing to Dear Leader on every issue is all that matters, but that role is bipartisan. The current Parliamentarian was appointed in 2012, and she was in that role during the entirety of Trumps first disastrous term. 3.In his tweet, Tommy dunce cap said the Parliamentarian is WOKE. I know MAGA just uses that world for everything they dont like and the brainless cultists just devour it and beg for more, but seriously, what does that even fucking mean? Nothing says WOKE like interpreting arcane Senate rules used to pass a budget bill!
