He's not wrong, Republican voters don't seem to care how awful conservative governance is no matter how much it negatively impacts their life.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure what McConnell means is that the right-wing propaganda machine has done its job so well over the last few decades that plenty of people would rather vote for the party that fucked them over by taking away their Medicaid than ever vote for a Democrat.

Their vote on this ridiculous bill just got harder. Senate Parliamentarian ruled the health care provider taxes cap cant be part of the budget reconciliation process. GOP idiots were counting on that provision to offset the cost of the stupid wealth transfer/tax cuts (provision makes state pay more and the federal gov pay less). Now that provision would be subject to 60 vote threshold instead of simple majority vote without a change in the budget reconciliation rules. Which could still happen, although historically parties have listened to the Parliamentarian (not that MAGA cares for norms, but still). Just glad to see a speed bump for this monstrosity.

Also: Mitch McConnell is an absolute scourge on society. Few people have done more to dismantle Democracy in my lifetime.

Nothing says WOKE like interpreting arcane Senate rules used to pass a budget bill!
