Maternal grandfather died when my mom was a kid
Paternal grandfather died before my older brother was born
Paternal grandmother died in 2011
Maternal grandmother died in 2016

One. Maternal grandpa died around 1997, paternal grandpa around 2004, and paternal grandma last year.

One although his status is currently up in the air at the moment.

Mine all passed away by 2003.

Zero, probably thankfully. Three were horrible people and the world is a better place with them gone. The one outlier i just simply know nothing about as my dad never knew him either.

Paternal grandfather died before my dad was born and the one that lasted the longest was my maternal grandmother dying around the time i turned 20.

Just one.. my dad's mom. She's 94 and still lives by herself. Drives and everything.. I go to see her every Sunday. Quite the lady!

My maternal step-grandfather (can't think of a better term, but he was the grandpa that was actually in my life) passed away of lung cancer when I was 4.

As sad as it is, I don't remember what happened with my blood maternal grandfather, I've met him once then he just kind of disappeared.

My paternal grandfather passed in a drunk driving incident before I was born (he was the victim, not driver).

My paternal grandmother passed of natural causes a few years ago.

I technically have another step-grandfather on my dad's side, but considering the horrific stories of abuse I've heard, I'd rather not consider that guy family.

Paternal Grandmother died of a blood clot when my dad was 8, which would have been in the early 50s.
Maternal Grandfather passed away in 1980, not sure of the cause but he went to a nursing home and died the day after being admitted.
Maternal Grandmother died in '97 from cancer; by the time she was diagnosed, it had spread to multiple organs.
Paternal Grandfather passed away in 2011 at the age of 94, he was on hospice care at the end.

Maternal grandmother somehow not only still alive but in pretty good condition for her age.

Zero. Three had already died before I was born. The last one passed away before my first birthday.

Only 1 left and she has alzheimers and about to pass on any day now.

My mother's father died years before I was born, and my father's mother died when I was about 12. I don't know when my father's father died, and my mother's mother passed over a decade ago.

Three. And Im 48. Maternal side has a mental illness issue amongst the first born. My mom took her life at 22, her father as well early in life and so did my maternal great grandfather. I broke the streak though my twenties were rough.

I often think about my Holocaust-surviving grandparents and what patriotic Americans they were before they died.

Only 1 grandmother and she's a toxic lying shit stirrer. I hate to say that, but it's true.
