Since I've been playing it lately I'll mention Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires. Gives a lot of freedom to be as benevolent or tyrant as you like with a lot of role play potential due to the really good character customization. My first playthrough I started as a roaming warrior, joined a warlord with territory of his own, fought wars for him, claimed victories, rose up the ranks in his forces until he gave me a chunk of land of my own. Then I immediately betrayed him, took the land for myself, continually raided and harassed him and hijacked all the land I originally won for him. Then I raided the capital, captured him and executed him for good measure. Then went on a campaign across the country, raiding everything, capturing everything, executing everyone, bullied other territories to give me their land. Taxed the hell out of the citizens and forcibly conscripted them into my army. By the end I had a morality score of -9999 lmao. Fun game.

A throwback - Human Cannonball for Atari 2600. I used to love purposefully missing - have the guy sail over the target, or crash into the target's side. I thought it was hilarious, especially given the sound limitations of the era.

I cant remember what I did in Jade Empire, but I remember being shook. I also remember a little bit of KOTOR 1 and 2, but was especially shook when I made my Wookiee companion kill his best friend in cold blood with Jedi mind control. Especially since they are your first companions in the game.

I played Trapt (was going to be Deception IV). The earlier games were probably eviler.

Total war warhammer has various evil factions to play as. The dark elves even have their own dedicated slavery mechanic.

Prototype 1 and 2 you can just smash through crowds, slicing up dozens of people at a time. You also use people as health pickups and disguises by violently merging their biomass into your own.

God those games were so stupidly fun

Lots of freedom too. Like you could kill a soldier and use his body as a disguise and then just roam around for a bit, find another squad of soldiers and tag along as they go on a mission to clear out an infected area

and then kill them too lol

Came into to say GTA but the Sims and their City/Park games take the cake

Undertale is pretty unsettling if you go all out and obtain the "Genocide" ending.
