Cracker Barrel isn't that bad. I would never brag to anybody about the quality of it, but if you ever wanted some southern food with a tinge of unspoken racism in the air it was a great place (I'm black btw, grew up in Mississippi and Georgia). It was probably the entrance that did it since it's usually a porch or something resembling a porch with a handful of rocking chairs

The biscuits and gravy will put you in a food coma

It really depends on the location. I went to one near Dallas that had delicious food, but unfortunately the one in my town is one of the bad ones where the food is terrible; I once had a frickin' bone in the fish I ordered, and the biscuits are made of cardboard.

Anyway, reasonable people might not like this because of the brand looking more soulless and generic by this move, but the reason why MAGA don't like it is because they'll attack Cracker Barrel for any excuse that they can, because of this:

I saw something where they changed the interiors as well. They're bland and very middle aged white woman kitchen-esque with the white walls and lame decorations.

You don't have to be a chud to see these changes aren't great and it's not like I'm a huge fan of CB anyway.

Maybe some places are better now, but when I was younger my family travelled a lot and forced me to eat at a lot of Cracker Barrels. I kept trying different food and it was all bad. Eventually I ordered grilled cheese because how can any restaurant fuck up grilled cheese? Cracker Barrel can. It was like Elmers glue between toast. I even tried it at different locations around the nation and it was still just as gross. Eventually I just stopped ordering food altogether when we went there. I think the only restaurant I hate about as much is Arbys.

I remember going to Cracker Barrel with my friends when we were teens and just being demons. One would skateboard on the porch, I'd occasionally line up a bunch of creamers from Super7 and run over with my bike, and we would even occasionally act unconscious. Lot of Jackass style stuff there.

Personally I've only ever been to one. It was fine. Not that memorable. I guess it's around the quality of like a southern Olive Garden.

Edit: Though it's kinda funny in retrospect that the logo was always "white guy + barrel". Maybe that's actually why they changed it?
