....my media backlog has nothing on yours, other than 28 Years Later which I really should have watched in theatres when I had the chance...

I've heard a lot of good buzz on Alien: Earth and a quick RT check bears that out, 95% (and 71% audience) - good opportunity to jump in and get caught up while it's airing? 5 eps so far and finale is Sept 23 so there's some time I guess.

Bring Her Back, not only my favorite horror movie of this year, one of my faves in recent memory.

I have a feeling we like approximately zero of the same shows or movies so I will not recommend anything

I also don't watch a lot of stuff anyway

It's the only one of these that I've seen. That was really some next-level fucked-up shit. If you're into getting fucked up by your horror movies, I definitely recommend it. If that's not your thing, there are multiple parts you will "nope" out of.

Oh all of these things are things I want to watch (either from my own knowledge or being recommended them) and will watch eventually, this is more I am overwhelmed with choices and will just sit here and doomscroll without an added push.

Horror is one of the few things that still makes me feel something so that is actually a good rec.

Damn we have very similar tastes because I was going to vote for all of those. lol

But if we have to break it down:

School Spirits Season 2 - Outstanding. Much better than the first season. And Jennifer Tilly will be in Season 3 so you have to be ready for that.
Alien Earth - I've loved this so much so far. Some folks have issues with it, but I think it's done incredibly well. It's still ongoing though if you just want to binge it when it's done. Probably at the end of October.
Twisted Metal Season 2 - I cannot understate how awesome this season was. Not every episode is a banger, but they do soooo much amazing stuff with the car combat, they show a ton of love to the games, it's wildly funny still, and it's arguably the best video game adaptation ever. Huge recommend.
Russian Doll S1 - I really enjoyed Russian Doll! It had a unique feel to it and it's really just a special series. Season 2 is a lot weaker though. I'd probably put this towards your back end.
Together - This one was so much fun. Just a twisted body horror that was wildly funny. Not terribly scary, but it does some really clever stuff.
Bring Her Back - I loved this movie. I don't think it's as strong as their other film, Talk To Me, but this one is just a dark, grim movie that has some spine chilling and uncomfortable parts that made me look away (IYKYK). I have a few issues with the movie, but it's still outstanding.

So I'd say right now:

Twisted Metal > Bring Her Back > Together > School Spirits > Alien Earth > Russian Doll

This show deserves more attention. The first season was caught in the shadow of The Last Of Us and Fallout, and I haven't seen anyone outside the Twisted Metal topic on this board talk about season 2.

I am unreasonably excited to see Anthony Carrigan Calypso.

Anthony Carrigan is amazing in everything he's in, and Twisted Metal is absolutely not an exception.

I remember watching Death of a Unicorn with Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, and Will Poulter, and somehow Anthony Carrigan was the funniest and best part of the movie.

Okay so technically Alien: Earth won, but that's ongoing and I didn't realize that and I prefer the ability to binge so I'm going to try and knock out some of the others and circle back. All the votes give me very high hopes though.

Started TM instead as second winner. Watched the first two episodes, and you can still tell how much the creators love the series.

The reveal of Mr. Grimm in Blackfield Asylum was shot exactly like the TM:Black intro cutscenes and I love it.

So many eggs spread out already. And I love the bit of showing a game cover in the first episodes that match the current season number.
