They're hypocrites and are well aware of it. They're just rying to "one up" the left. That's what happens when you're freaking down right evil.

You see, to the right every rigthwinger death is a massive tragedy whereas deaths on the left are a necessity.

The same people who have been saying empathy is a sin

They also all are perfectly fine with a president who raped young girls

People who told us about "The sin of empathy" wants everyone to show empathy.

One of the biggest differences between the left and right is.

The left is obsessed with trying to be honorable and living with integrity (very Ned Stark). What ever they say others should do, they desperately try to do themselves (even when it does more harm than good).

The right has no sense of honor. They will beret the left for an action and then without a moments hesitation do the exact same thing when it benefits them.

They want empathy for violent killing of one of their own, when their president has repeatedly suggested the violent killing of his political rivals.

Yep, and McCain's. And laughed at McCain's death, and stood by their cult leader when he mocked all POWs, and cried "fake nooz!" every time it was brought up that Trump had insulted veterans (even when he was caught on camera doing so.)

That same President is out there today saying that rhetoric from the radical left is the reason this happened. From a man and a party that has built its entire political position on relentlessly demonizing the opposition. For my entire life, Fox and Rush and Newt and Trump and all the rest of them have yelled as loudly as they could that Democrats were not simply fellow Americans to disagree with, but an enemy to be destroyed.

Now, The entire GOP is not even waiting for a suspect to be in custody before moving to take political advantage of this killing-all the while saying it is Democrats who refuse to lower the temperature. Political violence is unacceptable. Instead of trying to genuinely unite people behind those principles and put aside our differences, the GOP is already doing all they know how to, and what gives them power. Divide us further.

Millions of the gullible and the brainwashed will believe it, that the Democrats have been the ones spewing hate. It is not reality in any way, but 50 years of propaganda have ensured that MAGA followers have had their own reality for a long time.

The country that is my home no longer makes any sense. The GOP has spent decades seeing to that.

One of the evergreen tenets of conservatism is that caring and empathy is reserved exclusively for fellow members of the tribe / in-crowd. So yeah, they will react accordingly to a situation like this without even realizing their own hypocrisy.

I also think its worth noting that we can acknowledge murder is wrong while also acknowledging that the victim of said murder was not a good person. The way people are sanitizing his image makes me sick. Im listening to people at work say oh he just had opinions.

No. This was a man who believed entire groups didnt have the right to exist. Thats not a difference of opinion. Thats a complete moral failure. He used his platform to peddle hate and hate is what took him in the end. We can acknowledge that what happened was wrong while also not pretending he was some patron saint
