So I never fully finished Hades 1, and I assume I'm getting near the end of the narrative (maybe?). The most recent thing I can remember is getting my mom to join us in the underworld and we were starting to prep for something I can't remember fully.

I have no idea if I'm close enough I should try to play through it myself or what not.

Is it worth it to maybe just turn on God Mode and power through to get the narrative or just watch a YouTube video of story stuffs?

I would say at least get the main ending of Hades 1 (complete 10 runs). Which you have done.

There is no reason at all to go for the secondary "secret" ending. Suffice to say, happy ending, all the gods like each other again, we have a big party, hooray.

I've almost certainly done more than 10 runs completed. I guess I was going for a secret ending? lol

Yeah, it sounds like it. Like I said, way too much effort for too little payoff.

I loved the first game, and I guess I naturally fell off the game eventually, but before I finished all the lore. Or at least I thought I had more to do.

The full ending is fun and nice to see, but not necessary. If youre loving the gameplay and doing runs go for it, if youre getting burned out I think its ok to just look it up online.

I mean, there is an absurd amount to do. Persephone's plan, patching things up with Orpheus and Euridyce, same with Achilles and Patroclus, there's a lot of rabbit holes to go down.

I just wouldn't exactly call it required viewing. It's designed so that the game keeps giving out more to do/find while you enjoy the gameplay loop for months/years. If you're trying to grind it all out to get to Hades 2, then no, definitely not worth it

Yeah, I think I've found what I'll end up doing.

Eventually I'll get back to finishing up the loose ends in Hades 1, but won't let it stop me from starting up 2 now. >_>
