I don't buy it at all. He's not sorry, just sorry he got all the backlash from saying it.

Well this more than words, he took an action in the positive direction. You don't have to like it but regardless of the reason this deserves some respect.

It's a good first step, but you don't earn forgiveness in a day.

And to clarify for the pearl-clutchers, I'm a damn alcoholic, I learned this through personal experience.

Words mean nothing, actions mean little until they are shown to be lasting.

If Snoop wasn't actually sorry, he'd get more support by going full MAGA and complaining about how he's being cancelled. Taking the action he did hurts his rep with the right-wing because he's caving to the SJWs or something, and doesn't help his rep with the left, who's going to refuse to accept him changing anyways.

Snoop's actions here do not support his public position at all. It's purely a move he would make if he actually learned and reflected about his actions.

Actually if I recall correctly, he made other comments implying stuff like that shouldn't be shown to kids. That's what people were upset about. Not that he didn't have an answer, but that he said things like it shouldn't be shown to kids.

Doesn't mean he's not sincere now, and doesn't mean people shouldn't forgive him if so, but you are (likely intentionally) leaving out details about why people were upset in the first place.
