I just rechecked this morning

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/5/56615b1c.png

If my math is right I have 23 days of sick time and 22 days of vacation time. That equates to 4 weeks and 3 days of sick time and 4 weeks and 2 days of vacation time. Not bad. Government jobs can be a good thing, I recommend it for any of yall even if it's just custodian work.
Nice. Keep stacking.

Yes, my wife wants out of Texas so we are moving to Virginia, where I lived before Austin. We both have accepted job offers already so working on logistics now.

Almost 60 days (we get 2.5 days per year and 60 is the cut-off for use-or-lose).

How do you guys save up that much? I accrued about 3 weeks' worth including floating holidays (changing employer next month) and would always go through it throughout the year. I think many places will cut off your time at around 80 hours or so, so it's bizarre to me that they let you accrue that much.
I work for a government entity and they give a shit ton of PTO and they roll over. Private sectors are horrible with their benefits.

Thats not how it works for me. I am not able to book time off for holidays. They are set by the school calendar each year.

You have to save up PTO and sick time? What the fuck.
Yeah most companies do.

My husband on the other hand does not. He has unlimited time off. Hes taken like 5 weeks off so far this year and we have another week trip planned before year end.

11 days left. Now that Im 40 I get 30 vacation days per year. Before it was 25 days. You can save them for a year.

We dont have sick days, you just dont get any pay the first day then you get 80% of your pay, first 14 consecutive days your employer pays them after that you need to apply for the state insurance agency along with doctors notice. But its usualy a hassle. And there are limits to that as well.
