I am still scared

Watched it when it came out. Im not really into slasher or horror though I know this isnt horror. But much like other movies that try to be somewhat scary they often are just funny to me. The dialogue and situations are often so absurd I just end up laughing a lot. This was no exception. Funny movie.

I can't remember enough of the sequels, but I remember enjoying the original as a kid. Since I was so young it was somewhat scary instead of just funny.

The second one is a lot better, but the first one is really great as well. I think the second one establishes the comedic tone better, has the better gags and story, and the older sister character really works well.

The first 2 childs play movies are actually great though. Much better than most horror series original 2 movies.

Even though it was less of a comedy than some later ones, the scene where she's about to throw him into the fire and he drops his creepy act and just starts swearing at her is simultaneously scary and hilarious.

It's the best one. Chucky doesn't get that much screen time as the other movies and it builds suspense.
