I enjoyed this one. The constant game overs and the foreshadowing of the final boss had me cracking up.

Not every video of his is a hit for me, but there's something comforting about seeing a new AVGN release.

I'll watch this later, but I played this game one time as a Blockbuster rental and could never remember the name of it. Just seeing the game cartridge in the thumbnail got me to realize what it was.

A game where you play as a werewolf with knife arms shouldn't even bother with having your human half playable. Especially on the NES, where even making one playable character is a job in itself.

A bit random, but hearing about Blockbuster reminded me of this. Earlier today I saw a Blockbuster sign. The letters are faded but you can still make it out. It's right by some other stores but they just never took the sign down. Kinda neat that it's still there

Just finished the video and thought it was really good. The transformation scenes got a good laugh out of me. As an aside, I legitimately only remember stage 2, specifically where he climbed the building, and nothing else before or after that, so I doubt I even got to stage 3.

That was a good one. The non-game parts were actually pretty funny.

I liked this one. I didn't even bother with the previous one with GWAR being guests. Nothing against GWAR, but most of AVGN episodes with guests aren't that great. This one is back to basics.

I swear there was at least 1 guest episode that was really funny, but I haven't re-watched AVGN in the longest time to remember which one. I'm not counting Mike or Justin as guests obviously

Just skirting through the list, I guess the Pat the NES Punk one for NES WC wasn't bad, not like a top episode, just a pretty good episode.

Oh right, it was Pepsiman with the actor for the Pepsiman JP commercial, Mike Butters. That one was hilarious and Mike Butters looked like he was having fun with it

I liked that one. I remember that game from back in the day too but of course I never got very far in it.

Honestly aside from being hard, the game doesn't look too bad <_<

Interesting. I've never played it, but I always assumed it was an average game since it seemed to have good graphics and (I think) it got a neutral blurb in Nintendo Power.

Then again, Hardcore Gaming 101 gave it a decent review:

Seeing the bosses that are clearly Juggernaut and Magneto I thought at first this must have been developed originally as an X-Men game. But thinking more about it, lifting character designs from other things with no regard for copyright was a thing Japanese game developers just did back then. Like how a bunch of the bosses in Revenge of Shinobi were such obvious rip-offs of existing characters that Sega altered how they looked in later revisions.
